No offence to Skelton, but the fact that a mid level kickboxer with no amateur experience can turn pro and win domestic titles within 4 years says it all.
The fact tha Pele Reid is coming back also speaks volumes.
Christ, what next, I expect to hear that 'Aussie' Joe Buger wants to come back.
I'm not being funny, but if Frank Bruno came back he could probably do something with the current crop of heavyweights, he's in better shape than most of them.

What I saw of Skelton in the K1 ring, he didnt seem a particularly concusive puncher, and his strengths were in his low kicks, knees and physical strength.
When he turned to boxing with eugene maloney and was boxing at places like peterborough, he was scorring KOs all over the place and was getting hyped up by eugene (nothing unusual there)..
As has been stated though, I think Skelton's success is more indicative of the state of the division as opposed to being due to any innate brilliance Skelton has showed.
His levels of fitness, commitment and willingness straight away set him apart from your avergae domestic heavy.
