This fights kind of gone off the radar with the majority of opinion once again predicting a Whyte victory.

Going by the press conference I'd say that Povetkin looks the more confident one.

I still think the heat will be more on Dillian Whyte in the 'Rumble on the Rock' tomorrow night.

The pressure of expectation is again on Whyte to win as he was due a big money title shot vs wilder etc for years and has a much higher profile than Pov who is right at the tail end of his career and many would say this will be the last hurrah .
I can also see if Whyte stops Pov then this will be blamed on the effects of Covid 19 so he wont get the credit .
Pov didnt get lucky it was one of his trademark shots well practiced and he will be looking for it again , he may be in his 40s but he is dangerous especially when he has the opponent hurt ie David Price and he gave AJ a few wobbles in that fight .
I wouldnt right him off !

He can and most likely he will. Whyte is the most overrated hw in recent years, together with Lucas Browne.

At some point some people considered him a genuine title contender, a lot of people had him in top 15 (and even top 10) for a long time, he was rated top 15 in the previous forum rankings (maintained by Jezzamundo) as well.

All of these wins are very close/controversial. I don't say that he his complete trash, but he is not (and never was) top 4-5. And will never be.

Whyte is a top HW for sure. But Povetkin is better. Actually, was. Anyway, if Whyte wins, he doesn't deserve a shot. Fury-Joshua must be made now, while Usyk-Joyce winner gotta be a contender for the winner of Fury-Joshua. Whyte must fight the likes of Wilder and Ruiz.

Campbell Hatton should be progressed slowly.

He lacks pop, he’s clumsy, his defence is poor and he’s very raw.

I get it though, he’s a young kid with a great team behind him, but he is very flawed and needs time to learn his craft.

It would be unfair for me to say I’m unimpressed, but it would be reasonable to say that if his surname wasn’t Hatton, my evaluation would be much more harsh.

If they progress Hatton’s career very slowly and carefully match him against journeymen, he might eventually be good enough to win an English regional title.

Perhaps the Northern Area titleholder will be his glass ceiling?
