Whyte has earned the right to fight Fury or Joshua.
Promoters avoid wild card boxers like Dillian Whyte because they're not quite sure which one will turn up and knock their guy out.

I wanna see him vs Wilder way more than either of those. Interim WBC belt should be enough to tempt wilder in too. But honestly i wouldent blaim whyte if he treds water with average opponents and wates for AJ or Fury...
problem is though, Think fury beats AJ.. Then if he does it again he will retire... or if AJ wins the rematch it will be a trillogy. So i cant really see Whyte fighting AJ or fury for the belts anytime soon.

Not interested in Whyte v Ortiz. Whyte v Ruiz has intrigue but let’s see how Ruiz looks v Nipple.

Is the goal making sure Dillian Whyte doesn't get a shot at one of the Heavyweight titles ?
Sure what it sounds like.
Whyte v Wilder ... Yes exciting fight.
It's not for a strap what part of it do people not understand.

Dillian Whyte's shot at the WBC title is long overdue. He should have been in the ring with Wilder back on May 18 2019.

As I recall the WBC were allowing Wilder to choose his opponents from the pool of PBC fighters within the top 15 for the majority of his reign.

Whyte should do the same UNTIL he gets a title shot.

So I would hope to see him defend the interim title against maybe:
Efe Ajagba (11)
Charles Martin (12)
Frank Sanchez (14)

But I expect Sulaiman to pull a fast one

You think he should take a harder fight than those three?

He has to fight someone, and realistically he won't be getting a title shot until mid-to-late 2022

Sorry, I'm not following. What level of opponent would you like Whyte to fight?
Top 10
Top 20
Top 30 etc?

Neither.

Whyte deserves a title shot.

He's been hanging around the top of the HW contenders rankings since the Brachiosaurus was alive.

Once the big two have finished waving their willies at each other and settled their differences, Whyte should be fighting the winner.

I’d rather see Whyte against Ruiz Jr.

Ortiz has already ducked AJ and rejected an offer to face Whyte.

The Cuban has spent his entire career dining out on a reputation he didn’t even try to earn.

He claimed he was ducked by all his peers, yet his team rejected opportunities and never made any offers of their own to Ortiz’s big name rivals.

For once in his life, he has to earn the big payday opportunity to face Whyte, because there’s nothing “fearsome” about facing a continuous stream of over-matched journeymen and also losing twice to a man that spent years ducking The Body Snatcher.

More than five years has transpired since Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz scored his ONLY noteworthy victory during the course of his entire ELEVEN YEAR heavily hyped up career.

Luis Ortiz is a nobody. He’s irrelevant. He shouldn’t be considered as being one of today’s top heavyweight’s.

Josh offers him 7-8m

Ortiz = "well, uh, uhm.....lowball!! i no fight !"

ortiz fanbois = "see, they all ducking luis!"

Styles make fights.

Id pick Ortiz to beat him.
Ruiz would beat him any day.
He would beat Wilder but also Wilder is never gonna be the same again after that loss. The version that fought in Ortiz II could win but another thing is that we will never see Whyte as good in his career as last night, sorry to say.

Why would he face Ruiz or Ortiz? If anything, they should face each other. In my opinion Whyte has four reasonable options:
1) Wait for his WBC mandatory shot which would be a huge payday but this would not be for atleast a year, most likely around 18 months.
2) Risk his title shot against Wilder in another WBC eliminator and get a decent payday at the same time. WBC have mentioned this, as has Hearn.
3) Face Bryan for the WBA Regular in a low risk fight. This is something he has expressed interest in today. Low risk, reasonable reward but another low level belt to add to his collection. This could also lead to him facing Charr afterwards.
4) Pick a lower level opponent or two to keep him busy until his WBC mandatory such as Zhang, Kuzmin or Hammer. Maybe Kabayel or Sanchez if they need to be WBC ranked.

In his defense he had already agreed to a wilder rematch that did happen

But who the hell cares about ortiz anymore?

Unfortunately Whyte has been overpaid since the first Chisora fight. So his opposition has to be a decent drawcard.
The money for him is in the UK.
Joe Joyce is my pick.
Ortiz is way past it, and his enigma was blasted out by Wilder. That fight doesn't make the money required. Ruiz is too risky if he's motivated.
