Dream Fights

Post by zuru »

Ive read some of the members putting down the idea of Myth Fights.
But I can remember years ago boxing magazines having a feature titled Dream Fights, which had these type of matches. And I thought it was awesome. Then you could only read it and daydream. Now you have the option of exploring those matches along with others and able to debate with them.

Maybe not everyone cup of tea but most definitely a part of boxing that's been around a very long time.
I think it's a great addition.

It can be a lot of fun. Obviously there are silly mismatches ones (recently Mike McCallum vs Darrin Van Horn) or a fight between two not so good fighters.
It gives fighters like David Haye and "He Who Shall not be Named" a chance to win much bigger fights than they were able to win in real life.

It is amusing how we all have such confidence in fights that obviously couldn't happen. How confident were we before real fights before they happened? :D

It is particularly interesting when someone brings up an intriguing fight that you had not thought of before.
