Mir's best boxing displays were in breaking down and stopping Nogueira, in destroying Silva and Duffee.
Personally, I think the Noqueira fight stands out as his great striking performance and although his stand up looked much more composed in his fights against Bigfoot and Dufee, their chins were non-existant at this point and the KO was almost inevitable.

Either way, it's still not good enough to beat Tarver with his skills, it may just be who's body has the most left which is a sad way to judge a fight.
Noqueira boxed in the 2007 Pan American games in Rio. He was decent. I ref'd one of his fights in the quarter finals. He won but lost to the Cuban in the semi's. He also fought big Bob Sapp who was like 375 lbs. in a Pride fight. He got hammered early on but eventually got Sapp on the ground and tapping out to an arm bar. These guys are all wacked fighting at their age.
I think you're getting the twins confused; it's easily done.

It was Lil Nog (Antônio Rogério Nogueira) who boxed in the Pan American games.

It was his twin brother Big Nog (Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira) who fought Mir and Sapp.

Looks like Cunningham is still in fighting shape. Mir looks fat.

Yeah, Cunningham looks fit, while Mir's best shape was at noticeably lower weight.

Weigh in announcer said : 6 rounds or less ... frank mir at 276LBS won't be able to last 8 rounds, even boxer at that weight with height of 6'2" get tired after going 8 rounds

cunningham owns a boxing gym and i imagine is still pretty sharp for a retired guy, he's still kept on training in the gym after retiring, i dunno if he still spars at all but he has 10000x more experience as a boxer than mir anyway

Mir looked fat and sloppy, he tired after the 1st round.

Cunningham toyed with Mir. The fight looked like a sparring and it seemed in almost every round, that if Cunningham sharpens, he will score a KO.

Shocked that Mir lasted. But looks like an agreed sparring session. Steve possibly hoping he can fight Paul but no way they would make that

Yeah, they probably agreed to spar like that. It was especially ridiculous to hear De La Hoya's delirious commentry in this case.

And no way they allow Paul to be crushed by Cunningham, that's right.

Right. Delahoya was deranged. Talking about how beautiful Cunningham’s body was through blood shot eyes and a swollen alcoholic face..... disturbing

Probably about the same as Cunningham, but that would have been his full potential realised. Cunnungham could do better, if he became sharper.
