How good is Tim Tszyu?

Post by Loki »

Loved Kostya. I was sceptical at first but has really impressed in last two fights?

Thoughts? Will him be a world champion? A long reigning one? Or get beaten by a legitimate class fighter?

His matchups against Castano and Charlo are quite unpredictable. It'll be great, if they are made soon.

I was just wondering that myself.
Had a look at the boxrec top 20, and his placing after demolishing Hogan is #3.
I think he would be very competitive against most guys outside the top 10.
It's just hard to tell from what I have seen of him so far. Heck, I thought (my) local lad Bowan Morgan would give him a decent workout and that only lasted 1 bloody round :KO:

If you have me even money on will he win a wba super, wbc, wbo or ibf world chanpionship at some point in his career, I would put the house on it (don’t own a house, probably never will with the market but I’d slap 10 gs down without hesitation)...

Dosent mean I think he is next p4p guys, but he is good enough, young enough, and has the name enough to get a belt minimum

Might want to see what he does outside of local fights. Could be really good but not sure what dominating Horn and Hogan means in the big picture

I think he is the real deal and will rule the 69kg division for years to come. Later to go to middle and rule there.

Very confident kid, with a great training team behind him. Shows great work to the body and head. Great speed, timing, power and gas tank.

Will possibly he greatest australian of all time.

I wasn’t sure at first (son of legends rarely if ever live up to their papa’s achievements) but I agree. He seems the real deal.

simply that tim is good for sure but youre talking about some amazingly elite crazy good level that i dont think he reaches. there are far more guys who look impressive coming up than there are guys who rule multiple divisions worldwide for years, there is still a big big jump between the top guys on world level and who he's fought so far

I like your enthusiasm Trent.
As I posted, it's too hard to tell yet from who he has faced thus far.
It will be interesting to follow his journey.

Tszyu looks good. World level but not sure if he will be a great one. He looks so much like his dad. What country is his mother from? Russian or Australian in origin?

I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far. Looking forward to see him step up. Hopefully he’ll fight in the United States in the near future.

Russian, she moved with Kostya when he came to Australia.
