I’d have him slightly ahead for breazeal, efe, slightly behind helaneos , wallin, kownaki and Charles Martin and probably losing bad to the rest of the list..

But it’s way way to soon to fight any of them. Just needs to keep on chugging through the levle bellow fighting 6 times a year.

3 promising guys for sure

i have a slight worry on huni having pillow hands, as even though he has all stoppage wins, he absolutely teed off on those guys but couldnt put them down. of course with how young he is, he could well develop some more pop, and he does have some nice speed and skill

I recon he hits harder than jah, those were just 2 guys with sturdy looking heads, especially that Pacific Islander guy he beat, give me a bat and I still doubt I’d daze him.

Right now it's possible to give only an intuitive prediction.

I can see him winning the likes of Breazeale, Martin, Kownacki and Ajagba.

whyte Not now. Whyte would rough him up and bully him. Man against boy.

parker I think Parker is too experienced. Has he slipped though? Anderson might be more challenging than Junior Fa.

wallin Anderson is bigger, faster, and probably hits harder. He lacks experience and I'd make Wallin a slight favourite right now however ...

usyk Unless age as suddenly caught up with Usyk I'd give Jared no chance atm.

chisora He'd need a very cool head but if he can keep Delboy at range it's possible. At this stage in his development it's a big ask though.

breazeale I'd fancy the real big baby to outbox Breazeale using his superior speed and athleticism. I don't think Dom is what he used to be, and that wasn't great.

helenius Anderson could win this but he would need all his ability to concentrate and maintain discipline. Jab and move. Don't be tempted to trade with this dangerous Finn.

charles martin I think Anderson is better in practically every department except experience. Obviously the longer he avoids Martin, the more his chances improve. Does he win now though? ... No ... Yes ... No ... Y'oh ferkit I dunno.

kownacki Prior to the loss to Helenius I'd have said Kownacki would be too strong, throw too many punches and put Jared under too much pressure. Is that still true now? I'd say yes but not with anywhere close to the same assurance.

mike hunter Hunter would beat him right now. A year from now :maybe:

joyce Joyce too strong, too experienced, too just about everything ... for the moment.

ajagba Hasn't really impressed. I think my money would be on Anderson even now.
It's a difficult question to answer but I've done my best - Don't quote me and don't take the piss. I could have ducked it :D

I want to see this guy beat up 10 tomatocans these next 5 years while hearing relentless praise and hype from hypnotized commentators. After that he can retire.

:maybe: I"ll say this. If he progresses the way he has, then in 1 or two years, he can beat them all.

Didn't we have a similar poll for Efe Ajagba, which was created at a similar point of the Nigerian's career to Jared Anderson's?

"Efe Ajagba VS opponents (he can defeat within 6 months)"

I'm pretty sure most people have abandoned the Ajagba hype train by now, haven't they?

I’m not being funny, but Jared Anderson achieved absolutely nothing in the amateur ranks.

For sure, he might have gained a few medals at the US championships, but America isn’t really competitive globally in the unpaid ranks. People might believe otherwise, but they're not! It's that simple!

And he hasn’t achieved a damn thing yet in the pros either.

I get it, he’s a young fighter and time is on his side, but shouldn’t you guys learn from previous mistakes, by waiting to see if Anderson is capable of beating a half-decent opponent before hailing him as the “next big thing”?

It was only a few years ago when the majority of this forum prematurely bestowed Luis Ortiz an honorary rite of passage to being regarded as the best heavyweight on the planet without even requiring the need for verification.

And look how that turned out?

It's like history keeps repeating itself!!!

The eye test shows vast more boxing skills with Jared. The excitement over Efe was more his size and power with hopes of him developing his skills more. That's usually a bad bet.

Of course it's sensible to watch and wait. No risk of being left with egg on your face if you get it wrong.

Where is the fun in that though?

I've answered the question posed honestly and to the best of my ability. If I end up looking like a c*nt it won't be the first time and it probably won't be the last. I expect I'll live.

My high hopes for the young 'un are based on two things: Firstly the eye-test. I was struck by his fluidity of movement. He can box off the front or the backfoot and appears able to switch effortlessly between the two.

Secondly he seems to have a touch of arrogance that often accompanies someone who knows they are the real deal. An extreme current example would be Teofimo Lopez. His is a totally different level. This is not to be confused with empty bravado as demonstrated only this week by Trevor Bryan laughing at Dillian Whyte. You just know that if Bryan was unexpectedly accosted in the street by an angry Dillian Whyte he'd probably sh*t himself.

I liked the way Anderson had seen Kingsley Ibeh beat Kiwi prospect Patrick Mailata, and then get a very unlucky draw with highly touted Italian Guido Vianelo, and instead of making a note to keep clear, he made a point of demanding Ibeh as his next victim. That's the attitude I like to see.
