should drug test failures = dq loss
im talking about fights that actually happened, then a guy who either won or drew tests positive
these usually become no contest, etc......but if guys get dq'd for cheating in other ways (eg low blow) why is drug use so different
jack got changged to a dq winner over bute in a scenario like this, but it's almost always a no contest

although tbh part of me wants peds to all be legal, so that everyone can juice up and reach their max. remember when pov was doing meldonium? he was like a transformed machine
but for now, they are banned, so the original question stands

Re: should drug test failures = dq loss
this would also mean big tyson has a dq loss wouldnt it
Re: should drug test failures = dq loss
My concern for PEDs to be legal is that they are costly and most fighters wouldn't be able to afford then at all or be able to employ an 'expert' to administer them to him/her.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 18:57 although tbh part of me wants peds to all be legal, so that everyone can juice up and reach their max. remember when pov was doing meldonium? he was like a transformed machine

This , , If you really want to stamp it out , get caught then lose your record , all fights automaticly counted has a loss , and no excuses , i ate a boars testicles , i bought my meat of a dodgy butcher in central mexico , ect ect all fights considered a loss and or a ban for life ,,, after all the ameteurs manage to stay clean , there well informed , given booklets ect ect , can't even take an asprin for fear of getting caught ,,, the pro's well they just think there above it and guess what they are epecielly the ones with the money to fight it and threaten the authoroties with legal fee's ect ect ,,, govt should contol that side of it and come down HARD ON CHEATERSoogiebe wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 19:39My concern for PEDs to be legal is that they are costly and most fighters wouldn't be able to afford then at all or be able to employ an 'expert' to administer them to him/her.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 18:57 although tbh part of me wants peds to all be legal, so that everyone can juice up and reach their max. remember when pov was doing meldonium? he was like a transformed machine

Re: should drug test failures = dq loss
So what happens if they lost the fight then fail the drug tests?
Should that count as two losses?
Exactly what advantage did the Winstrol give Fernando Vargas when he was in the ring with De La Hoya?

Re: should drug test failures = dq loss

Re: should drug test failures = dq loss
drugs its such a shady area for sport i do think anyone who takes peds it should be a life ban, but it is easy for me to say ive never dedicated my life to sport ,and were most sports stars grow up in working class areas were it is rife and the norm i would say , you were looked as an outsider werido if you didnt take drugs or i would say personaly not on drugs full time were iam from inner city london , i think the people who par take in sports should write the rules

It's a great idea until you ask...
Who will enforce the ban?
Most involved in the out of the ring stuff are gutless, say one thing do another type of people. Promoter say life time bans then sign up drug cheats and promote them, bodies like the BBBofC have duck heads like Smith in charge, who seem offended when they are called out. Then you have the Alphabet boys, who are as trust worthy as Harold Shipman was with a 77 year old.
You need people to be accountable for bans to even be considered. Boxing lacks those, right through the system.
There's too many Robert Smiths in boxing and not enough Tsuyoshi Yasukochi's. There's too many people in it for their own pockets, and that of their mates. The boys club. And not enough in it for the sport, and well being of boxing. The sport is rarely a moral compass, but it could do with moral compasses guiding it.
