Wonder what Nigel thinks of it all. Can't imagine him jetting off to have a beard transplant before the Eubank fight in 1990.

True but he did spend 6 hours getting his hair braided before the Watson fight.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 12:28 Wonder what Nigel thinks of it all. Can't imagine him jetting off to have a beard transplant before the Eubank fight in 1990.

Supposedly Courtenay has a 4 inch+height advantage. Didn’t look it to me at all.

I can't believe they did a table face off at Sky for this fight. The whole thing is cringe. I blame Adam Smith. For everything. I'm so bored I am watching it. Out of self hatred. Courtenay is 27? She looks 45 and has a face like a builder's elbow coupled with an aggressive chav like attitude. I know little about either but Shannon comes across not as likeable.

I hate myself for it, but this is the first women's fight I will deliberately tune into. Just because of the weirdness of it. Like being a voyeur on a bitch fight. I think lockdown has really got to me.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 14:50 I can't believe they did a table face off at Sky for this fight. The whole thing is cringe. I blame Adam Smith. Within 10 seconds of the opening bell Macklin said 'he's only been stopped by the very best', absolute classic, thought of your posts immediatelymargaret thatcher wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 17:28 wow, cant believe that sam vargas took a beating, who could see that coming

getting stopped and getting knocked are very different things. Vargas is as durable as a 1990 toyota hilux, but, is shit. So knocking him early is near impossible, but landing a 5 punch combo on him and having the ref wave it, Totally doable..black panther wrote: ↑11 Apr 2021, 02:07margaret thatcher wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 17:28 wow, cant believe that sam vargas took a beating, who could see that coming

Sky,Matchroom and Benn himself have done a fantastic job.
They’ve built him up into a World beater. Sky have managed to slowly cross Benn over into the general public conscience.
Benn has grown into the role and being broody, relating to the Working classes.
BUT. In reality he hasn’t fought anyone with ambition and good standard.
Formella is a good fighter but lacks ambition. Vargas is a glorified lower class gatekeeper who’s been advertised as a higher end gatekeeper because he can get competitively pasted by the best.
Mckinson, Crocker for examples are good 50/50 fights.
He could be in for a very humbling fall if they keep up the current matchmaking and marketing.
He probably beats a way past his best Khan but if he did the Hype would be unbearable and would give Benn a false idea of how good he is.
I’d pick AVA to beat Benn.

Ava is a really bad match for him, I can’t see them wanting that.

I’m not liking the way Conor is talking to be honest, sounds almost Prince Patel-like.
Win the British and European titles. Secure a mandatory WBC spot. And win the title abroad. Then you can run your mouth off and talk shit.

To be fair if you yourself were managing or promoting a prospect you wouldn’t send them anywhere near Avenysyan after he went through Kelly. You’re more likely to let Lexington Steele have a go on your wife.

During his post stoppage ring histrionics Benn was repeatedly shouting PPV at the top of his voice.
