Yeah I would say Benn was definitely headed for an early victory but Jesus wept. You look at that compared to Josh Warrington having to be peeled off the canvas.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 17:20 Wow. I mean I would argue early stoppage as was round one, so wasn’t like he had a prolonged beating previous to that flurry. But still impressive.

Impressive demolition job from Benn there, looked sharp hurt Vargas with a righ hand then followed up with nearly 20 unanswered punches, good accuracy, right hands and uppercuts along with a couple clean left hooks, impressive stuff, Vargas swept aside

I thought that there would be a danger of an early stoppage but it wasn't going to prove anything and it didn't.

Another bit of home time bias by the BBBC officials ??

lol Benn don't half talk some bollocks.
Let's see him in with a banger less than 30 years old who hasn't lost 3 of his last 5

You may as well not have a referee if you don’t want fights like that stopped...

Good point.Neil Gee wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 17:21 Oh no! That is exactly what Conor Benn didn't need. This was supposed to be a big learning fight and now that chance to learn is thrown away. I'm sure when his team made this fight they were hoping for a hard learning 12 rounder but Conor Benn decides fook that. He can't win, I suppose.
Will probably get him KO'd in a fight that he might otherwise win down the line.
Vargas wasn't "fine" but he shoulda had a count. He may well have lasted the round and then gone the distance.

Conor is just playing a role .. the same way Eubank did... It’s their angle.
Off camera Conor is a nice humble down to earth guy ... but he must believe speaking and acting like that in the promos will help get him fights and money he wants.

nah i love the edster, but these totally recycled dudes like vargas are a blight on boxing, their fights are almost always totally predictable and uncompetitive
Re: Round-by-Round: Conor Benn vs. Samuel Vargas - 10 April 2021
