Don,t know but it would of been a good payday , i,m basing that on hearing Benn say in an interview , i draw the crowds , peole pay to watch me . Although for me if i was promoter i,d pay him peanuts , just tell him handpicked wins or good paydays your choice. Never could get my head rnd why a promoter would do both

I’m assuming we’re talking 50k as a good pay day?
No fans / ticket sales to get a cut of .

Also feasible he has a “deal” type contract with matchroom as appose to a fee per fight contract.

Find it fascinating the disparity in boxers pay.

Stinks and Judah shared $125,000 when fighting for the unified welterweight titles. Yet Khan gets £9m against Billy Dibb in Saudi Arabia

Danny Williams ended up with something like £36,000 in his pocket for beating Mike Tyson in America

Zero clue, surely over $100,000 though. Headlining a card, big name, shit opponent... could be anything to be fair

Where is your source for that? Surly it must have been high 5 figures or low 6 figures?

Williams got 140k for the fight
There was an article / interview with him after the fight where he broke it down. Can’t remember exact figures but it was something like ...
His trainer got 10%
His manager got 25%
He had to pay for his digs and travel
Paid for Sparring partners
Tax man took 40% of everything over 40k and 20% on

Sure he said he ended up with 35k in his pocket

Surely these boxes are all cheating tax now, so easy for them, just got to have an Irish or cayman training consultancy company, pay them out most of your purse, you personally don’t profit, your tax dodging company does...

I recall fwank saying Danny actually didn't get paid, the promoters stiffed him and fwank paid him instead.

Purses will surely be significantly reduced at the moment with no crowds.

You’d guess Benn would pull at least 7-8k fans at the O2 or Wembley arena now. If he keeps winning it won’t be long before he’s packing the place out I reckon that’s if he isn’t already, his old man was very popular in his day wasn’t he?
