I can't get through it. She felt "uncomfortable" but never removed herself from the situation. Hmmm...

Absolutely, definitely a lot of kickboxing. He's still putrid with his hands. World class athlete though.

Some of 'em are great strikers. Some of 'em are great grapplers. Some of 'em can do a bit of both. Most are primarily good at one or the other.

Askren is a grappler.

It'd be quite embarrassing for him though being a veteran Pro fighter to lose to some YouTube clown though.

I have seen videos of Askren working on Boxing technique though and Saad is correct that his Boxing is sh*t.

They should, but he didn't really need to with his game plan, which was to just spam takedowns and hold the guy there. It worked up until a certain point. There are not many other guys who have fought in the UFC who have worse striking because most others weren't able to rely on their takedowns in the way that he had done. This is why this is such a cherry pick.

Askren's kicking ability isn't great either. I'm surprised he did so well with grappling/submission alone, but he can take a punch and can get inside the other guy's head. He's much better at frisbe golf than striking or kicking. He usually finds a way to win though. At 36, win or lose, he will laugh all the way to the bank.

Not that I rate Paul at all, but I think the only way to win that Askren will be able to find will be to make this a dirty fight. Lots of clinching, dirty boxing. Act like a leach and sap Paul's energy to take Paul into the later rounds.

Truth be told, the whole event is kind of a joke. Neither guy is a legit professional boxer. "Are you not entertained?"

Keep hearing mentions of Wilder... surely it didn't hurt being 6'7" with a 83" reach?

oh, for sure there are some pretty terrible guys who have boxed pro, but i can still certainly understand why ppl think paul is simply a youtuber, when he came from youtube rather than being a legit am boxer/etc, when he debuted against a youtuber, and when he hasnt fought anyone with boxing experience. ....basically he beat 2 d-list celebrities who werent simply bad, but obviously had no clue in hell what they were doing and had never fought before

by the same token, i understand why ppl would think bart gunn was merely a wrestler even though he was a physical specimen and won boxing matches vs some wwf tough guys before bean splatted him.

Ben Askren says he’ll guillotine choke Jake Paul if fans start GoFundMe and raise more money than his fight purse

During his open workout, he told fans watching via live stream: “Guillotine, that’s legal, right?

“Can I choke Jake? I know a lot of people wanna see that.

“One of you guys can start a GoFundMe – how much would you give me to choke Jake out with a guillotine choke?

“And if the number’s bigger than my purse, maybe I’ll do it, you never know!”

Jake Paul has to be one of the biggest tool bags walking the earth. The obsurdety that comes out of that guys mouth is cringe as fuk. It's unbelievable to me that he has managed to gain such a following on social media.

I really hope Askren manages to humiliate that mental midget and feeds him a dose of humble pie.

I saw that and thought it was odd. Maybe he's going to save face with a DQ' then?
