i have to admit i read that last line a couple of timeshandsofstone wrote: ↑16 Apr 2021, 13:25 Andrade has a habit of starting fast, scoring early knockdowns, looking like he might put in a performance then switches into autopilot, done against Kautondokwa, Sulecki and Keeler, if he coasts against Williams he could get his clock cleaned

Andrade got on the Florida State Boxing Commission’s scale at 159½ pounds. Williams weighed in at exactly 160 pounds.

Must admit I didn’t realise DAZN was still £1.99 a month, will sign up tomorrow for this fight.

£4 for this fight and Canelo v Saunders is worth it even if they don't show anything else for weeksBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑16 Apr 2021, 14:53 Must admit I didn’t realise DAZN was still £1.99 a month, will sign up tomorrow for this fight.

I'm guessing this is a typo, but Fox floored Andrade not Williams.maverick23 wrote: ↑16 Apr 2021, 05:02 One of the selling points for Fox/Williams was that Fox floored Williams but it was more of a slip than a genuine knockdown.

It's a good point tho'.
I reckon Booboo knows he's in a fight here. Normally, he gets ahead and coasts, but I think he might look for the stoppage more than he usually does. He's a slashing sharpshooter and you always feel he could get more KOs if he went for them. Williams is a danger all the time he's still in the fight. He's the last guy you'd wanna be coasting the last few rounds against. Add in the trash talk and the need to look good enough to get a money fight.., he might be uncharacteristically exciting
Hope so anyway - it'll be an epic fight if Andrade can find a nasty side !

Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Liam Williams - 17 April 2021
Not definitely, probably.
Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Liam Williams - 17 April 2021
the truth is we dont know , were banking he is , i always though williams was better than smith though he lost but i feel he has improved, its a huge ask for liam to beat andrade in reality but its a fight at the end of the day
Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Liam Williams - 17 April 2021
Andrade is not definitely that good either on who he's beaten.
Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Liam Williams - 17 April 2021
A lot of votes for Andrade decision.
I thought it be about even with Williams KO..
I wasn't that excited about this fight, but considering there is stuff all else-
I'm into it now.

think it will be close kiwi man, williams is tough welsh boy he will throw down but he also has a bit quailty about him aswell i really think it depens on if andrade can stay switched on all fight, big ask after a year of lock down gwan liam boyo
Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Liam Williams - 17 April 2021
Yes, I think BOTH are better than they've shown.
Andrade could be HOF material, but he also might never show that nastiness, or find that 2nd gear we think he's got.
Williams blew the Smith fights, (esp. the 1st), but he's surely much-improved since. He's developed in to a spiteful, intense pressure-fighter and he's surely at least "challenger class".
I get the feeling both are at their peaks and in against their best opponent.

i will alaways say that liam was winning the first fight with smith untill the cut with totally changed , than after that he turned sour, williams has a real nasty take no prisoners style. but he is better than some brawler , he has real boxing ability people forget that he was the boxer fighting smith, he has more than a punchers chanceskanksta wrote: ↑16 Apr 2021, 20:01 Yes, I think BOTH are better than they've shown.

Cheers for that
It's hard for me to know much about Williams because the only times I've ever seen him, apart from the 2 Smith fights, ended early.

Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Liam Williams - 17 April 2021
Would love Williams to pull this off, but think it's one of those fights that really is all about levels... just think Andrade will be too slick and won't give Williams the chance to fight the way he has lately. While I went for a points win, I wouldn't be shocked if he stopped Williams as I think he wants to make a statement.
