Well Williams made a fight out if it, even had a few moments.
Andrade should have gone for the finish early on, would have won himself more fans than the Ward-esk hold fest.

Two of those are pretty wide. was it like that, was it dominant ?
Some are saying Williams had his moments, did at any point Andrade look vulnerable during the fight ?

he got hurt a couple times and williams pressed hard and was competitive in a lot of rounds, but andrade won at least 8 to 10 of them . he was much more accurate and able to land more shots and cleaner shots. he hurt williams in 4 or 5 rounds too, usually with the uppercut

however later in the fight andrade did a lot of holding and flopping a round and i wouldnt say he was particularly impressive

Agree with this. I had Williams winning two or three rounds. He put out a great effort which was/is not reflected by the scorecard. Andrade is a very frustrating fighter and will be difficult for most opponents. It's clear though that he doesn't like to sit still and fight. There are probably a number of reasons for this. 1 Lacks a strong inside game like most fighters of this era. 2 Is vulnerable to punishment e.g. Williams hurt him twice with one shot punches. 3 He lacks the stamina to trade.

Just my observations. I think Andrade is a difficult fighter to beat but I don't think he's great at this time.

I agree. I'm expecting a competitive fight though.
Me too!
Competitive except for when Andrade gets
Possibly wishful thinking..
Yes possibly but Williams is not without pop so you never know.
I only saw brief highlights but it looks like it was a good fight and went pretty much as we predicted.
He does have skills does Andrade. I keep going to call him Dennis which is certainly due to Dennis Andries. I'm showing my age again

This fight was good compared with D.A's older fights. Liam was in good shape too. :TU:

Hearn said he could make Andrade vs Charlo on Fox ! It would be a very good fight if Charlo's handlers agree with it. :box:

You're absolutely correct on this. Those that are saying this was the typical Andrade fight simply don't know what they're talking about. Andrade actually started fast, and there was much more action and clean punches landed in this fight, than his fights typically. Williams' constant pressure, and the fact that he hurt Andrade a couple of times made this an interesting watch.

I was personally unimpressed by Andrade’s performance against a limited British domestic-level fighter.

Boo Boo has only stopped two opponents within the last 58 months.

And whilst there’s more to boxing than KO’s, he’s often failing to dominate subpar opposition.

He languishes in mediocrity and I haven’t seen anything within the last 12 ½ years to persuade me into believing he deserves an opportunity to engage in meaningful marquee bouts.

He won’t be competitive against Canelo.

andrade 'actually' starts fast normally, look at the sulecki fight where he dropped him on his ass right away and then just coasted. dropped keeler very early then didnt stop him until the 9th, etc. ppl already recognize that he starts fast, so not sure how that is somehow a 'different' andrade

once again, he started huge , looked like he could get an early stoppage, then sputtered out and ended the fight with constant holding. a clear winner but nothing to up his stock really
