Williams didn't have sufficient preparation in his previous fights to mount a winning challenge.

Williams was shite too. A plodder. A wrestler. A grappler. Certainly not a boxer.
winning a few rounds and hurting an undefeated world champ who is notoriously hard to hit.. even though andrade was hanging on or out of range... sounds like he is probably a boxer. you want him to try box slick back foot stuff against andrade? that wouldent make him a boxer, that would make him an idiot.
He was outclassed. Never moved his head or his feet that makes him an idiot.

He used every dirty trick in the book to try and cover up for it. British title level is what he is

Agreed. They knew which champion they were going after but didn’t face one decent southpaw or anyone tricky to prepare for it.

halling is usually awful
I don’t mind him but compared to Adam Smith...
I find myself pathetically grateful for any commentary that doesn’t involve Left Hook Smith

Criticisms aside, that was a hard fight and a credit to them both. That's some serious mileage on their clocks for what, on paper, was a one-sided affair.

Andrade a level above but he did get away with murder with regards to holding, referee wasn't interested in the slightest.

in the first half most of the holding was them falling into each other, as it got into the later rounds andrade started to lead by holding and initating most of it though, a point couldve come off i guess though ive seen a lot worse.

Andrade couldn't miss with the left lead uppercut. It's not like a secret weapon, he throws it all the time.

he has been butchering british title guys and gave andrade one of his toughest fights, tougher than a solid lower top 10-15 guy like sulecki did. i'd say he's defo above british title level for ability

i dont know what ppl expected him to do vs andrade. i actually think he did pretty well, won some rounds and hurt him, had him looking uncomfortable for 10 of the 12 rounds

Fair play, Eddie was on fire tonight. He’s a hell of a performer in front of the camera, putting aside whether I agree with him or like him or not his delivery is absolutely flawless, phenomenal salesman.

Gotta give it to him. You can tell he loves what he does and he does it well.

He does make great fights.

If Charlo won’t come to DAZN, he said Andrade will come to FOX. He’ll take the same money Derev took.

Balls in Charlo’s court.

being outclassed in a tough fight with an undefeated world champ where you win rounds, hurt him, and realistically give him the toughest fight of his Carrier dosent make you a British levle plodder.

If you dont like that style and prefer a slick backfoot boxer thats fine, and sure he relies on his chin a bit, but its ignorant to pretend there arnt multiple styles to box effectively.

I've seen worse too but as you said in the later rounds Andrade was getting off and then holding pretty regularly, referee didn't even warn him really.

This was great timing for DAZN. Giving the IK fans something to enjoy at prime time.

Maybe he should regroup at European level and see if he can develop enough to make a better fist of it next time. Toughness and power wise he looks a decent match for anyone, but he's got to be much smarter in there to have any success at this level.

A nice touch, yeah. Having a US card wrapped up before 12am UK time was really odd but a welcome change.

He’s not very good. There are styles yes but he’s very limited and miles away from being a world champion. More likely to be hurt badly with a style like that.

I’m just glad Williams left it all in the ring tonight. I was pretty gutted with his performances against Smith, I felt he had enough in him to win both fights but didn’t really seem to have the self belief at the time. No question about his efforts today tho.
