Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
the commentary team make Adam smith look like ian Darke
Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
Al Bernstein must need the money to be part of this team

Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
Buffer butchered MMA fighter surname

Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
Awful just Awful. Youtuber dropped MMA fighter, he got up, referee stopped it. could had let it go on.
This might go down as the worst boxrec topic ever

Seen clips of Oscar wired to the moon, i like the occasianal bifter as much as the next guy but c'mon to fvck Oscar theres a time and place, he's a joke and a laughing stock, he's meant to be one of the worlds leading promoters but its clear he doesn't give a toss about any of his stable, he doesn't even know half of his rosters names and has spent more time retweeting Triller lately than DAZN and his own stable
Whoever keeps him in snow is Oscar De La Hoya's best friend, whether that be Canelo, Garcia, Vergil or Triller, Golden Boy never beem same since Schafer left, total unprofessional, boxing needs rid of him

Just watched a replay of the prograis fight...Wow that was a commentary team from outer space, all of them out of their trees - apart from straight guy Al Bernstein quietly thinking “what the f*ck am I doing here?!”
Snoop is pretty funny, but not on commentary, between flights or rounds maybe...and Oscar..oh my word, completely blooted - his comeback is gonna be a car crash.

Fvck me that was excruciating, Oscar needs back in rehab, eff the boxing off and get his act together
As for Prograis, he's probably regretting getting involved in this car crash, should have another KO on his record
Al Bernstein probaby feeling worse than anyone though

Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
I can’t believe how bad a fighter Ben Askren is.
Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
This is like going clubbing in your 40s and everybody at the club looks 16 and you are thinking what the hell am i doing here.
Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
Agree he is a terrible boxer .. but he is (was) an effective fighter. He wouldn’t have won so many high level MMA matches if he wasn’t .
Disappointing he turned up looking like he hadn’t even trained for the fight.
This whole YouTube boxing thing will end badly .
Jake Paul has been fighting people who have never boxed before
Joe Fournier (although terrible himself relative to the real pros) fought a guy who had never had any combat experience ever
And they are doing it in 8oz gloves with now head guard .
Something bad will happen and then real boxing will be at risk .. those guys who have spent a decade or more in the game working their ass off could have their livelihoods jeopardised

Promoters only care about money and numbers.
KSI vs logan paul could probably sell out Wembley Stadium and probably do 7 figure ppv numbers.

Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
Plus the other commentators are making fun of him right to his face. Doesn't give you much hope for the future of sporting broadcasts if they're all gonna try to appeal to the lowest common denominator and YouTube kids.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑18 Apr 2021, 08:32It’s not just the fact he’s off his head, it’s what a total dick he is

Oscar is a disaster. Never seen such an alleged clean cut athlete fall so spectacularly. His eyes were red with drink and drugs and had that swollen faced look of a hard addict. Didn’t he say he was fighting in July 3rd or something?

I’m not saying he’s any good, but he’s a little bit more trained than he lets on, I think.

Right. He’s basically dedicated his life to boxing. And trains with the top guys.mickey1975 wrote: ↑18 Apr 2021, 09:55 I’m not saying he’s any good, but he’s a little bit more trained than he lets on, I think.
He’s never going to do anything significant but if you aren’t a real fighter he’ll spark you.
Re: Round-by-Round that youtuber vs the MMA fighter
Right ! He has now been boxing for three years , has the money that allows him to dedicate the time and have access to good trainers.
He started at 21 which is late if you wanna be a world champ but not that late to develop relatively quickly ( to a certain level)
He is obviously a pretty decent athlete as well.
Trouble he has that if he gets more serious and wants to go legit, then he has to cut to 175 as any half decent cruiserweight will eat him. He has had a decent size advantage over all his opponents so far so unless he want to be the king of 190lbs he needs to cut
