I think you’ve captured it really well here mate. He had a proper run at it tonight and can hold his head high. No shame in that performance

Just watched the replay now, hats off to Williams he’s ridiculously fit. That was always going enable him to shake off any rough patches.

Was impressed with how he dealt with the knockdown too, Andrade barely landed with a follow up punch and Liam had recovered by the time the bell went.

I enjoyed this one, Williams is tough and gave Andrade a difficult night, Williams took some bombs and was still calling Andrade on

Great comeback by Williams after the first 2 rounds. He got old manned out of the fight for the rest of it. Andrade was gone in that 9th but just held and spoiled his way through the rest of the round

Yeah. That probably wouldn't bode well against Eubank who throws some nice uppercuts.

Caught time and time again with it and it looked to be from range too .
Ingle telling him every round not to get caught with it .Andrade is a quality operator .

Williams was a disappointment. I expected much more than marauding forward walking into uppercuts and left hands. Andrade was throwing lead uppercuts with either hand and not getting countered. I know Andrade is tricky but Williams got completely outclassed and his level shown. Eubank Jr. favourite punch is the uppercut and his chin is granite so I don't think that fight would go well for Williams.

if people expected much more out of williams than they were definitely overrating him. he won some rounds and buzzed andrade a few times

what success did you think he'd have?

I went for Andrade on points on the poll and said Williams wasn't good enough beforehand, however, Liam did put in a very gritty effort.

I'd like to see Williams go for the European title.

he did well with what he had. anyone shaking their head at him shood instead be shaking their head at themself for being so far off the mark as to think that he somehow should've done much better than that. that was no less than andrade's 2nd toughest fight. did they think williams was elite world class or something and should've won?

i agree, come back at euro level, and try to get him in with opponents who wont crumble easily

Frankly it's preposterous to think that Williams could bridge the gap from Joe Mullender & Andrew Robinson to Andrade. That's crazy

Yes the Fox win was good, but nowhere near enough grounding for an awkward bugger like Andrade, who hits fast and hard early doors.

Let's give Liam a proper chance next time and work away against serious european level opposition before jumping up next time :TU:

Too late for Euro. Liam and Frank have both said he’s world level. He can trouble anyone. But that doesn’t mean he can win a world title.

Levels. IQ.

When he DID have Andrade hurt, he should have figured out a way to use that to his advantage, but instead, he was getting hugs from Andrade.

Any reason why Hearn is not mentioning Daniel Jacobs as an opponent for Andrade. Andrade needs a recognisable stateside name
