Sunny Edwards has explained he is no longer speaking to brother Charlie with the pair having had a bitter fallout.
Charlie is a former flyweight champion of the world while younger sibling Sunny is set to fight Moruti Mthalane for the IBF flyweight title later this month.
Charlie joined Sunny at Frank’s Queensberry Promotions last year and beat Kyle Williams in his first fight with the company.
But there appears to have been a fallout between the brothers, unfollowing each other on social media, with Sunny opening up on what’s happened.
On an Instagram Q&A, Sunny was asked if Charlie will fight again this year, and simply responded: “Who cares?”
He was then asked if Charlie is still fighting out of Steel City Gym in Sheffield and he answered: "I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with asking me questions about him. I don't even speak to him, how am I supposed to know?"
He then claimed that the final question, which was why he does not speak to Charlie, would be the last he mentions on the matter.
Sunny said: "I will let his supporters and his fans maintain that belief of who they think he is, and that image that he portrays on social media."
Charlie declined to comment on the matter when approached by the Daily Star.
Charlie had said that Sunny’s development was a key reason for moving to Queensberry.
He said at the time of joining: “I’ve seen how Frank has developed Sunny, from the start and all the way through his career and he’s a big name on BT Sport. I can’t wait to join him.
“It’s good. We can fight on the same shows which i’ve always wanted to do.
“It’s a new chapter. It’s good. I’ve put the past behind me. I’ve already won a world title at one weight, and I’m looking forward to becoming a two weight world champion. And what better place than coming on to BT Sport, with my brother!”
