Anthony Mundine got his first million dollar plus fight against Sven Ottke in Dortmund Germany
Ray Wheatley helped Mundine get IBF rating and negotiated the Ottke v Mundine fight with German promoter Ekhardt Klein after Mundine manager Khoder Nasser asked Wheatley to do that for him
Nasser said they want a US$20,000 purse and television rights to Australia which resulted in millions of dollars. The rest is history. Mundine lost the fight but went on to fight for another 20 years

Nasser invited Wheatley to the Mundine v Bargero fight and the following week had a meeting with Wheatley at Luigi Colluzzi coffee bar in Kings Cross
Tony was there. Nasser said he had asked USA boxing agent Don Majeski how long would it take Mundine to get a world title shot. Majeski said if he arranged his fights it could take minimum of 18 months. Nasser asked Wheatley to select Mundine opponents so he could become IBF rated and Wheatley also put out challenges on behalf of Mundine to Sven Ottke on Fightnews web site. The Germans took the bait and said once your world rated we will give you a shot at the IBF 168 title

After the German Television approved the Ottke v Mundine fight after viewing VHS tape Wheatley sent on Sam Soliman v Anthony Mundine fight it became in doubt after Mundine stated the American got what they deserved when planes went into the New York building on 9-11.

IBF President Marian Muhammad told Wheatley she was upset with what Mundine said about the 9/11 attack and how America got what they deserved but she would not penalise him by withdrawing the sanction of the Mundine v Ottke IBF title bout
As we know Ottke stopped Mundine and not only did the Americans cheer but most of Australia also
