doesnt halling do dazn ? he's every bit as bad as smith, not only a massive cheerleader but totally clueless. he was flabbergasted and simply had no clue how selby-kambo was anything other than a dominant win selby, as if jabbing the air all night is some amazing thing. what a weirdo.

about 80 percent of his commentary is "OH THAT'S GOOD WORK FROM (housefighter)!!!!"

Sky should go back to the days where they were showing different promoters card each week. Sky were at their best during the Warren, Maloney, Matchroom and Hennessy days.
We also had Dave Caldwell and Hatton promoting cards too.

As I’ve said a few times before the majority of those shows were average at best. We tend to think back about the good ones - the Moore/Macklin, Gomez/Arthur etc but there were an awful lot of shows where there was a commonwealth title fight as the headline and mismatches beneath it or average WBU/IBO title fights as the headline with poor undercards.

The one thing I do miss from back then is the volume of shows though. It was rare that there wasn’t some sort of boxing on.

The big difference to now though is back then with Sky pretty much all of the top U.K. promoters/stables were with Sky. Now the 2 biggest aren’t on the platform I can’t see how they can get enough quality fighters to make up frequent good shows. Only way it can potentially happen is with MTK.

Sky will surely want to keep AJ at all costs should he win against Fury both times? How long is AJ's contract with Hearn?

AJ BXNG Promotions/258 Management coming to Sky soon? I get the impression Joshua has wanted to sack Eddie off for a while, placing very gentle digs at him. Let's be honest he doesn't need a promoter now.

He’s got a few good lads, as has Whyte, Sky might be interested in them.

They may look for a way around it to get it sorted. Claim themselves that they don’t work with Kinahan and do everything through Eaton. Will get a bit of flak but I wouldn’t have thought the majority of people would be too bothered.

Sky have one more fight to go with AJ. After that I’m sure they’ll do everything they can to keep him.

AJ’s got one more fight with Hearn too. I’d be surprised if it’s not extended but who knows. Eddie will hardly say to him that he has to fight on DAZN in the U.K. or he won’t promote him. Lots of fighters think they don’t need promoters - not many of them stay that way or keep winning.

AJ’s has I think 4/5 boxers. Enough for a couple of shows a year but I think some of the fighters he manages also have promotional deals with Hearn - Ashfaq as an example.

Will Mathcroom be exclusive to DAZN though? Meaning that Hearn couldn't promote Joshua on Sky, even if he wanted to?

Surely DAZN will want AJ, either with Hearn or separately?

By the sound of things all of Matchroom’s U.K. stable bar AJ and Whyte, will be exclusive to DAZN. Once AJ’s deal with Sky and separate deal with Matchroom expires then it’ll be up to him but it’s possible he signs with Sky and Eddie will still promote his shows there. I would have thought it’s similar for Whyte.

DAZN will want AJ but would they put up the money to get him just for the U.K. - maybe not. AJ also seems like a loyal bloke - Sky/Eddie have been good for him and vice versa. He may not want to change.

I guess I can't imagine Eddie promoting on DAZN and then promoting his biggest star on Sky. DAZN won't want that. With Canelo they pretty much have global rights, and I'm sure they will want that with AJ. It all goes to shit though if Fury beats him AJ twice.

I think Whyte is different because I am sure Matchroom only work with Whyte on a fight by fight basis....

Isn't Chisora the same?

So this money is basically for the likes of Taylor, Cheesman, Connor Benn etc - ouch that is pricey.

What might (nothing finalised) happen on an AJ UK PPV though - say if Connor Benn is on the undercard? Or will PPV Sky Subcribers literally just get the main event - something actually Eddie has mentioned on a few occassions that PPV fans are only interested in the main event.

Worth remembering that the separate AJ/Matchroom contract is up around now too (clearly the 2 fight deal with Fury is part of that but only if it happens....) and that AJ's firm also manages a number of boxers including Okolie and Buatsi who in my view are the only two marketable Matchroom contracted UK male fighters other than Benn (ahead of them both) and Warrington (who is on the precipice right now after his beating).

Look forward to seeing the Sky Sports strategy.

Josh is only marketable in Leeds. It’s backfired on him because everyone hates them. Hatton played a blinder, never alienated.

Also at the time of Hatton, Man City were not even a big team, they were coming in and out of the Prem around them years.. Not much bragging rights. Manchester was Red for a looooong time..

Even still, the fact that he did appeal to all Mancs.

Same thing with Ricky Burns vs. Josh Taylor up north. One was clever, the other not so much,

Leeds weren't even in the premiership. They haven't been liked since the 70's. Real hatred from a few clubs.

Leeds fans have always been annoying though. They know they have history.. Regardless of what division they were in.

I know what you mean but he is a name that draws decent tv ratings, partic when in decent fights.

So when I hear Eddie talking about what Fowler, Conway, Cash etc. are going to be doing on his new massive enterprise I see them as basically unknowns to anyone other than big boxing fans.

He was a popular fighter, but after quitting his belt to avoid Kid Galahad he received quite a backlash online.
