someone here once told me that johnson should beat smith, but i think smith stops him

Exciting return from Callum
He meant business right from the off and put the pressure on Markic immediately.
Johnson walked on to a crunching right and did amazingly well not to touch down, but what was equally impressive was how quickly Callum regrouped.
Even more pressure was applied in the 2nd round and Markic eventually crumbled. The referee gave Markic every chance, but he was done for the night.
Johnson reminded me of Honeyghan pouring the pressure on Vaca in their world title rematch and wasn't going to stop throwing punches.
Good statement from Callum....let's not leave the next one too long please

i didnt watch it.....so this guy hurt callum? i've gotta check it out.....he's a fun fighter for sure. a smith fight would be bombs away but i think smith kos him
Re: Callum Johnson Inks Long-Term Deal With Frank W.
Entertaining fight. Stuck a few quid on over 4.5 rounds (evensish) at the start of the second, thinking Johnson would surely ease his way in after two years out and getting badly stunned end of the first. How wrong I was

Yep, got caught when steaming in by a big right hander. Badly buckled but somehow didn't touch down
The great thing was within 30 seconds he brushed it off and started where he left off...attacking Markic.
Johnson's aggression is very impressive and he carries fairly explosive power. In world class it probably won't be enough, but he's a thrilling watch

watched it now....thought the knee did touch down myself but didnt see a replay so hard to tell
he's got some heavy hands for sure but rather worrying to get hurt like that vs an opponent of markic's calibre. he recovered quick but was seriously rocked there.
arthur was commentating on the fight , and while that's a good domestic fight, i feel it's kinda wasting johnsons's fun style on an opponent who can stink things out a bit. let's get cally vs joe smith like he wants, bombs away

Oh yeah! Good fight that
Johnson and Smith Jr must get it on.
Forget the trinket belts, a Johnson Vs Smith Jr is the best LHW fight to be made.
It sells in NY or the UK.
Get 'er done Fwank

Buatsi would be a good fight for him. His stablemate Yarde too although i think he'd carve up Yarde quite handily.

after seeing johnson hurt like that by a fairly weak opponent, yarde might like his chances vs cal better. hard not to, a guy like markic should not be doing stuff like that
cal is offensively a bit of a machine but he's open and im not sure his chin is good enough for how easy to hit he can be

Anyone who has has the power to deck Artur Beterbiev deserves a lot of respect.
I wouldn't even bother watching Lyndon Arthur again, but Callum Johnson v Anthony Yarde, I'd got for that all day long
