Superficially speaking, his resume is impressive. 26 fights, 23 wins, with 16 KO’s. He’s also held the WBC’s international silver title on several occasions.
However, when I scratch the surface, I suddenly realised that Morrison’s record is padded to almost astonishingly bad proportions.
For instance, he’s on a seven-fight winning streak, but the fighters he defeated during those fights had previously suffered a combined total of 215 losses, which equates to a 23% win ratio (65 wins spanning 283 bouts).
And these stats pretty much reflect Marcus Morrison’s entire career (i.e. 26 opponents in total failing to win 528 fights, equating to a paltry 35% win-rate).
They're far are worse than Mark De Mori's, Arnold Gjergjaj's and Christopher Lovejoy's. And that's saying something!
Can you think of a fighter that has an even worse padded resume than Marcus Morrison’s?
