Ruiz could be around 252 pounds, his lightest in five years.

Ruiz -2500
Arreola - +800

That's a wide gap
Andy has a solid chin
Arreola is 40, shot, and doesnt have 1 shot power.
Arreola doesnt do anything better than ruiz and didnt in his prime let alone now
Ruiz looks in better shape

arreola had better stamina than andy, and certainly worked harder

if chris's chin hasnt gone he could make a bit of a fight out of it simply through that....so many ppl forget that ruiz has been a lazy, low workrate dude in many of his fights, and that he wasnt exactly a ko machine. he couldnt stop a shopworn liakhovich who has been stopped like 7 times. the aj win is an anomaly and he hardly won a round in the rematch. im not sure he's really as good as a lot of ppl think or at least thought

so it wouldnt surprise me if it's another 'spirited' showing from arreola, but cant see him winning of course

andy is a lazy ass fighter man and has had to go distance vs corpses before, the aj fight flattered his power too. he will be much sharper but will also stand there and just let arreola throw for long stretches if we get the standard andy. he'll win handily but i could see another one where arreola just throws a lot more and we hear 'spirited' 'hard fought' etc......

just remember when talking about first rounds kos etc.....alex dimmy lasted 5 full rounds and couldve easily done more if he wasnt such a heartless quitter in journeyman mode. i really believe that andy is hugely flattered by the aj fight

Liakhovich and kevin Johnson wont walk right to you and stand there.

I bet ruiz lands a counter and senda arreola reeling very early

liakhovich was right in front of him all night. dimitrenko is someone who looks for a way out as soon as the fight starts and andy couldnt even put him down. both those guys were more finished and stoppage prone than arreola

most of andy's performances are totally bleh, the first aj fight is a huge outlier

andy could well smoke chris but dont be surprised if he's extended a bunch of rounds and wins very ho humly

I think this fight being on PPV sucks. It's an ESPN fight. I'd watch if it was free.

Yeh, it’s Ruiz’s comeback fight. Should have it FOX even.. see what sort of numbers they get.. then a more meaningful fight can be ppv..

Id assume at 50 bucks per

200k sales minus sat fees is 5mm revenue. Id assume that would take care or purses and costs with a small profit

I think it does much less than that

You think they’d get as much as 200k? Has it been promoted heavily in the US? I’ve seen very little promotion for it on mainstream sports sites.

That's harsh Maggs.
Your forgetting Andy's career best performance against Parker. Nothing lazy about that fight.

not harsh at all my man, watch those fights. parker was one of his very best performance and he still lost that. even at a 'trim' 255 he gassed out too.

he's talented but he's been unimpressive as much as he has been impressive and the aj fight caused a lot of people to totally overrate him and forget about 95 percent of his career

he'll win but just dont be surprised if the overall impression is 'well that was pretty sh!te'

Yes please.

What do you think Ruiz will weigh in at ?

For Arreola it's the last chance saloon isn't it.
An unexpected win will almost guarantee him a title shot would it not ?
