Well you're gonna deal with Pep. Pep has his eyes set on Driscoll. Saddler's manager has already proven himself a coward. Now let's see if you prove yourself a liar or if you step up to the plate like you say.BoxBuzz wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 19:38 Saddler is ALLOWED to choose his challenger until week 15. Though everyone will give you trouble for picking another CPU...we can't stop you.
However....Saddler could defend against Pep the wisp, and if Pep wins, Neither Driscoll nor Kilbane would have to fight him next week. (No unification bouts currently)
Now there's something to consider! I don't relish having to deal with that swine of a manager Pep has hired. And well....as we all know Saddler has Pep's number.
FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Morales will remember this challenge from Kid Chocolate, and will be willing to face you in a few short weeks. For now our target is set on BoxBuzz's Galaxy of Chumps.armageto wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 18:24 Henry Armstrong still has unfinished business, not for him, but his stable. He's offering a shot at the WBO strap to Johnny Kilbane.. As always, Kilbane would keep his IBO title should he lose, but if he was to win, he'd have to vacate it and be the new WBO champion.
If that fight can't be complete, Armstong offers a WBO shot to Sugar Ramos If those fights should fail, there are multiple CPU fighters ranked in the top 20 that would have to do, if worst came to worst. Wilfredo Gomez is the highest rated, so we'll take him as cpu backup for now.
As for Kid Chocolate, he is interested in facing any of the following opponents:
Eusebio Pedroza
Erik Morales
His CPU backup will be Ben Jordan at this time.
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
How about we introduce the next prizefighter series with every manager choosing a 3rd fighter. Everyone enters the tournament with their new fighter. We could change the format ever so slightly but a 3rd fighter would IMO help fighter activity etc. Once each stable has 3 fighters we could implement a rule that a manager is only allowed to fight a CPU fighter X times per week.
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Saddler accepts the challenge and hope to even the ledger with plans for a lucrative rubber match down the road. We will be watching the weigh in like a hawk though.
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
We'll look into it later on down the road.gilgamesh wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 20:43Morales will remember this challenge from Kid Chocolate, and will be willing to face you in a few short weeks. Welp, Kid Chocolate's two opponents are busy. He'll try his luck with Ben Jordan.armageto wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 18:24 Henry Armstrong still has unfinished business, not for him, but his stable. Both of Armstrong's two opponents are gone apparently as well. I believe Naseem Hamed is available and eligible, so we'll extend him a shot at the WBO. If he is occupied, then I guess Wilfredo Gomez it will be.
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
I myself don't like the idea of a third fighter. When we used to do 3 fighters, we had a larger pool of fighters. Say 160/168, everybody picks a fighter from each. Third would be a free for all for a third man in either division.p4p1 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 22:07How about we introduce the next prizefighter series with every manager choosing a 3rd fighter. Buzz is still trying to work out software kinks. I like the pace of this season. A third fighter just gives Buzz more fights he has to run and longer to match make. I like a lot of quality cpu fighters still being avalable. Allows you to make good matchups even without a managed fighter. My 2 cents anyways on it.

Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
I am more than happy to make the Saddler V Hamed fight and have Naz sit out for a week once the titles are sorted.p4p1 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 18:45Naz has a mandatory fight aainst IBO champion Kilbane for wining the prizefighter tournamet. As he is now ranked above Saddler I propose the following to both you and Kevo:
Saddler defends against Hamed.
Driscoll defends against Kilbane.
If both Kilbane and Hamed lose then they fight next week for the Kilbane's IBO strap. If Kilbane wins and Hamed loses then Hamed fights for the vacant title next week. If Hamed and Kilbane loses then Hamed is very unlikely to care about the IBO strap.
Kilbane accepts the shot at Driscoll if Hamed has no objections and wants to enjoy his week off.
Saddler will look at his options.
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Crease, can we pay some side step money to Nelson this week with a guarantee of a fight next week while Saddler knocks out Hamed?
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
I like the prize fighter series now that I understand it. However the 3rd fighter might be a bit much to manage this season. I'm truly wrestling with some software kinks and am getting the upper hand. I'm looking forward to a rather efficient season next time out....should we decide to conduct another season.Crease wrote: ↑27 Apr 2021, 03:262 words for you - stay tuned!p4p1 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 22:07How about we introduce the next prizefighter series with every manager choosing a 3rd fighter. I'm going to look over the available set of rules....to see if it's possible to use one that guarantees less draws for the PFS. 3 and 15 round fights are the only odd number of bouts available within the system. But some of the ruling systems look to show promise as well. I'm getting into the weeds of this. 3 rounds just don't seem right.....it has the vibe of "training wheels" Especially for the master boxers.
When there are enough highly rated non managed fighters within the inventory....it seems to work, because we have....and could have once again some serious threats from the pool. I think that adds something. I'ts not just about corporeal bodies. S.L.M. And there will be far more fighters in any upcoming season. In fact, I still may add a few this season.
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Saddler can decide for himself......whether he is the shining inspiration of a champion such as Jem "Mr Lonsdale" Driscoll or a Wisp of champ....like a certain Ex champion that roams the landscape and bellows loudly about his greatness.
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Pep don't bellow loudly. He expresses interests in challenges, and seeks to prove himself. Big difference.
He definitely ain't all talk.
Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
Hmm...are there some published fights on this list that have not been fully accepted by both management teams?
I'll slow down and wait for the messages to catch up with published fight card that is in development.
Though 4 fights are in the history books at this point. I believe they were all rock solid. And I had some fun with I will now call the "Basement Brawls" which will take place between CPU's from time to time in order to fill some cards.

Azumah is not happy.... Not as his change of opponent
(when we told him that Naz activated his title shot clause, he nodded and with a terse grunt and that is the end of the matter)
He's ire is directed at that unmanaged fighter who is self-styled; "the Cain of the mountain"... Everyone knows who The Mount is and who the geographical plateaux was never after...
Azumah Nelson vs Joe Cain...

Re: FW SEASON WEEK 11 MATCHUPS
I may have a working solution to our Unmatched problem:
DrDuke vs Hyacinth straight up stable war
Arguello (5th) vs Sanchez (12th)
Miller (25th) vs Terry Mac (19th)
And Jofre defends against the highest ranked available CPU - Ruben Olivares (16th)
