I just cannot get excited for this bill. It’s awfully uninspiring. I don’t even care who wins out of Chisora Parker. I genuinely cannot understand what kind of punter pays for this. And tragically, I’ve paid for most PPVs over the year but can see no reason to get this.

Is anyone here buying it?

Not this one, I've just been stretched too much paying 20 quid for shows like this and I can't be bothered anymore. Not one fight on the show appeals to me and the sterile atmosphere just kills it

I'm not paying for it.
Neither guy is ppv, Chisora has never had a ppv worthy fight, and Parker Vs AJ is the only one I paid for. Hindsight tells me it wasn't ppv either

Yeah the appealing part of the original fight was Taylor vs Prograis.

All I feel Taylor vs Jonas will do is make Taylor vs Harper less sellable

Harper had an off night against Jonas. I much rather see Taylor v Harper as it will be at least somewhat competitive unlike Saturday's fight.

Parker will beat the shit out of him. just like he would of done to whyte had he not being headbutted. chis and whytes style works for Parker.

Disagree. Parker has better skills than Chis but he doesn't do well against fighters who come forward and keep the pressure on. I put this mainly down to Kevin Barry’s training so hopefully we will see an improved Parker under Andy Lee.

When has he not done well against those kind of fighter. Befor that head clash he was dominating Whyte (admitadly not long), he beat Ruiz (draw for me but still good) and beat taken. They are the only walk forwards guys of any levle he has fought. I’d say he does best against walk towards guys.

Those 3 are the examples I was thinking of. His performance against Whyte is questionable because of the head clash but imo he never found any rhythm or dominance vs Ruiz or Takam. Both decisions could’ve gone the other way. With Takam he seemed to not know how to handle him. He just throw flurries of punches and moved away not knowing what to do.

Regardless, I look forward to see how he handles Chisora under to guidance of Andy Lee. Should be a good match up

Even at weigh ins.. the presenters have been Matchroom guys fir a while.

Don’t worry about Bellew. I’m sure Eddeh will employ him for Matchroom.. (hope not)

In fairness he’s probably right. If Fury-Joshua happens I can see both retiring afterwards & all the belts will be vacant. Anyone high in the rankings will be in line for shots such as the winner of Parker-Chisora, Usyk, Whyte, Wilder, Joyce, Hrgovic etc

I still fancy Parker to win on points but it’s a massive change only 8 weeks before a fight. Hope he’s not caught between two styles & that he’s been able to get good sparring over in Dublin

Joseph Parker hopes that a win over Derek Chisora at the AO Arena, Manchester this Saturday May 1, live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and DAZN in all markets excluding the UK, Ireland, China, New Zealand and Samoa, will kickstart his route back to the top of the Heavyweight division.

Former WBO World Champion Parker (28-2, 21 KOs) is fresh off a hard-fought 12-round decision over long-time amateur nemesis Junior Fa at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand that settled an 11-year old rivalry with his compatriot.

Ranked at No.3 with the WBO, Parker recently teamed up with former Middleweight World Champion Andy Lee, and the 29-year-old knows an impressive stoppage of the teak-tough Chisora would propel him closer to his ambition of becoming a two-time World Champion.

“I’m very prepared for this fight, I’ve had a great training camp with Andy in Ireland, then we moved over to Morecambe and got some great sparring under our belt, great pad work, bag, everything," said Parker. "You will see some good changes. I'll be sharper, with better movement and better footwork. I'll be focused for the whole fight.
