boxers moved too fast
fast tracking is nice, but sometimes it goes a little too fast
ivan drago was a beast of a fighter, but thrown in with a vastly more experienced world level opponent in his debut, and that eventually showed as drago started bright but was ground down late in a grueeling fight. drago with even 5 fights vs solid gatekeepers wouldve been more ready
what are other cases of pros who were simply moved too fast?

Davey Moore. He won the WBA light-middleweight title in his ninth pro outing and was ruined by Duran in his 13th.

You don’t get much quicker than Pete Rademacher, he got a HW title shot against Floyd Patterson (32-1 record) in his pro debut, he was dropped many times but also dropped Patterson

Vasyl Lomachenko
Re: boxers moved too fast
David Reid, Olympic gold medal, pro title in his 10th fight? (Ironically for the same title Davey Moore held) Pitched in with Trinidad in his 13th fight, probably career ending altough his droopy eye was causing him issues before winning the title.

Re: boxers moved too fast
got a right hammering in that fight after having some good moments himself
i remember him getting stopped by 'the punching policeman' sam hill in a fight that basically showed he was done for
Re: boxers moved too fast
Who was that Brazilian guy who was on a hot streak, got in with Cotto and took a pasting? I want to say Kermit but it wasn't Cintron. Talking of Kermit, he practically decapitated Matthysse's brother and that was almost career finito for him. There's one for the hairy chest thread.
