Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
Re: Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
Parker gets it. What a bastard., gutting for Del
Re: Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
Was hoping Derek would get a big win there
Re: Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
Thought 115-112 or 114-113 Chisora. You can't back up that much and not throw and win the fight.

Didn't score it, but 115-113 Parker seems fine to me.
Re: Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
Didn't see the fight. Without regard to the judges, who do you guys think won.
Re: Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
I feel ashamed of having Parker 114 - 113. He doesn't deserve another title shot.

114-113 Chisora, close fight, sometimes case of what you like, Chisora couldnt have asked for better start first punch that landed put Parker down, i thought it was back of head, even after 2 of the replays but the third replay showed it was legit and it wasnt balance either, Parker went down quite hard actually, Chisora bullied Parker early on, Parker held too much he should've had warnings, Chisora switched southpaw up close and hit the body, Parker landed some nice counters but not the same snap on his punches as Chisora, when Chisora ran out of steam, Parker stopped holding and his boxing from range picked up rounds and he also hurt Chisora once or twice, Chisora always pressed and it was a fight to the finish, no gripes with Parker getting it, infact im delighted, hate guys who continually lose fights close cos they fade or coast,.fight harder ffs

A so-called warrior whom has this enormous lack of heart and determination annoys me.

Chisora gives most of these guys hell
Re: Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
Parker just nicked it for me , thought all the bodywork from Chisora might slow him down a bit but not the case .
Close call though.

It wasn’t the Thrilla in Manila but definitely worth a watch.

That's the thing — you can feel that someone won a fight in lacklustre fashion. Chisora worked his old wheels off, and credit for it, but he wasn't hurting Parker after the first. Tried hard, but those clubs weren't getting it done.
In fights like this I always think about who'd win over 15, and I reckon Chis had run out of road.

Re: Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
Parker just about does enough, without doing enough..sounds stupid but he never puts the foot down at the right time, seems to coast at key periods/never presses the action when he's in the ascendency. He has qualities but he doesn't utilise them enough, quite frustrating to watch at times. Good effort from Del despite sounding absolutely shagged from R3.

Chisora on the post-fight interview shows how classy he is. Warrior and underrated. Good man.
Re: Round-by-Round: Joseph Parker vs. Derek Chisora - 1 May 2021
Good fight, utter bastard to score. Either or a draw would have been acceptable. Parker for sure is not going to be the man, but he has a few more good fights in him. And amazingly, so does Chisora.

Parker and Lee were classy in that post fight interview. Rematch on the Fury-Joshua event seems not the worst idea. It was a good scrap.
For a guy in his late 30's now, Chisora hasnt half got some engine on him.
