Morrison Warns Chris Eubank Jr: Only a Fool Would Not Respect My Power

Marcus Morrison believes that he possesses the power to turn out the lights of WBA interim-middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr.

Morrison and Eubank will collide on Saturday night as part of the pay-per-view undercard to the heavyweight clash between Derek Chisora and Joseph Parker.

Eubank (29-2, 22 KOs) has been out of the ring since December of 2019, when he picked up a quick two-round stoppage of Matt Korobov, who was unable to continue due to injury.

In the last few weeks, Eubank has been talking up potential fights with top names like Gennadiy Golovkin and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Morrison's record is a mixed bag of tricks, but he's confident in his ability to knock Eubank out.

"I'm always dangerous. Only a fool would not respect my power," Morrison told Sky Sports.

"I do carry the punch power to knock Chris Eubank Jr out. I do absolutely believe it. I've gone over the fight many times in my head. If I'm honest, I've not thought too much about the ending, but all I know is that on May 1st, it's going to be explosive. I honestly think the fans are in for a treat. When you put two fighters in, like me and Chris who can both punch, you're in for an exciting fight."

"To pull this upset off would be one of the biggest upsets in UK boxing, especially when he's talking about the likes of Canelo, Golovkin, and all these fighters. If I go in there and spoil the party, where does that put me? It puts me right up there with the big names. A lot of people would have said Chris Eubank would have been in the mix for all those types of fighters, so if I go and pull this upset off, which I do believe I can go and do, then that takes me and my career to new heights."

Morrison couldn't even get Tyan Booth out of there...and he'd probably gone into the ring having downed a couple of bottles of Echo Falls.

A limited brawler with a good engine. Lacks one punch knockout power but vicious intent. Poor footwork and that’s probably because he tries and loads up too much.

Caught up with the Eubank jnr fight....enjoyed it :TU:

The ten rounds will do Eubank jnr good in the longer run. Very game effort from Morrison

There were periods where it was a stalemate as to who would lead off first, but also some blistering exchanges now and again.

I really think Kalle should go all out out for the Murata match. Boxing heaven :box:

If Eubank jnr wins it puts him in a much better position to secure the GGG fight that he wants.
