For the whole fight it would be Ali vs Holmes but of the fights I saw live on TV it would be Ayers vs Jon Honney...where Ayers was shuffling like an old man.

Povetkin vs Whyte 2 was up there as that smelt wrong the minute it was announced he had been hospitalised with covid.

Although by far the saddest fight I saw on tv that I cannot watch again was Graham vs Brewer....so close and the way Graham was more physically trapped than hurt...all he needed to do was stay away and up and the fight was his

Double edged sword. Was sad to see Haye like that and also to see Bellew acting like he’d just beat Muhammad Ali.

But yes, very sad to see the Haymaker shot to sh*t. The English can be a bit tough on Haye ( toe-gate etc) but he was a legit champ at cruiser, and a contender at HW when it was tough to get a belt.

i think ppl are so harsh on haye because they elevated him too high before all the toe stuff. he was basically getting worshipped as the saviour for the division who was gonna end the boring klits. if ppl hadnt gone so crazy over him and put the expectations so high, maybe they wouldnt have turned so hard on him.......

he beat valuev and did the most conclusive job on chis anyone has still done to date, so it's not like he accomplished nothing at hw. it's just that he came nothing close to this super hero type character so many fans worshipped him as.

and let's face it, modelling your toe immediately after losing is a bit of a silly look, even if it hurt

Danny Williams getting stopped in a couple of rounds at Upton Park by Chisora was pretty sad. Not just that he lost but that it was clear at that point his punch resistance had completely gone. Hard to believe he’s still a fighter a decade later.

So many sadly, but top of the head.

Ali/Holmes....scandalous really.

Honeyghan/Dodson....A few of his later wars were painful to witness, but this was the nail in the coffin, down the bill
on a showpiece event he used to headline.

Frazier/Foreman 1.....double edged sword seeing a new HW monster emerge to challenge the old guard,
but seeing Smokin' Joe bounced around like a rag doll was pitiful.

McGuigan/McDonnell....There were obvious signs in two bouts prior to Jim, that he was a long long
way from what he used to be. The cut that finished his career was a blessing as McDonnell was
embarassing him.

Hatton/Shev....set up as a farewell for the fans, but in reality only benefitted the savvy punters with winning
betslips.

Loved watching Murray live back in the day, his career went side ways when he left Hennessy and would had better chance of being a world champion, also the split from Steve Wood didn't help. See him running a gym on facebook but he should of had way more in his pocket, one of his mate told me he only made 20k from the crolla fight.

To be fair it was Haye that set those expectations. I think a lot of the general public felt cheated by what he said he was going to do in the Klitschko fight vs the actual fight/ performance/ aftermath. Most of them wouldn't have seen his career at cruiser either.
