Ruiz vs Arreola was a predictably competetive fight, I was the one who ranked Ruiz the lowest out of the posters who voted in the original voting, Ruiz is another very overrated fighter.

Not gonna drop anyone for winning a fight.
Whether they got dropped or has a tough fight. The fact is, they fought, they won.

They can stay where they are..

Thanks Dag.

I'm almost tempted to bump up both Chisora and Ruiz due to them deserving to be above those sat one above them due to their records but based on the performance against their most recent opponents, I'm going to leave it with no changes to any of the four.

Ruiz v Arreola: No change. Ruiz won if somewhat unimpressively. Hunter has done nothing to make me think he deserves ranking above Ruiz. If he beats Hrgovic that changes. Arreola moves up but not so far as to impact the top 20 never mind 15.

Parker v Chisora: Parker unchanged. I was tempted to switch him with Joyce but credit to Parker for taking a tough challenge. He shouldn't be penalized for that unless he lost. Chisora up to 12 above Ortiz. Can't justify lifting him above Pulev who beat him.

parker = up to 8

chisora = to 10

ruiz = no change .....i was tempted to lower his ass, cuz i do agree he's become pretty overrated, with these beliefs somehow that's he's this iron chinned, huge punching, top flight elite hw. but then again , i dont think the guys right below him have really done enough lately to be over him right now. i think in reality though, he's not much better (if at all) then a lot of guys still ranked under him

arreola = very game guy, but not enough to crack it

we can post what we want bruhster

chisora fought whyte and parker at pretty much even terms, that counts even if some judges had those split decisions

it is much more respectable than just crushing cans, as many guys seem to do exclusively. but i know certain fans are very impressed by that lol

Yes .. i agree with you and since Pulev beat chisora so easily and convincing than parker and Whyte who bitched out of pulev fight, Pulev unarguably should be placed at top 4 or 5.

I've never seen Eric Crumble fight but if you look like sh*t fighting a very inferior opponent then of course you can fall in the rankings (unless of course you're managed by Don King, in which case you get made mandatory challenger to a fighter who has already beaten you, and whose team are scouring the horizon for a no risk title defence)

On the other hand you have to take into consideration that credit should be given for fighting and for winning. That isn't the be all and end all, but although I wasn't overly impressed by Arreola as Andy's comeback opponent, it could have been a lot worse.

Another factor for consideration is the fighter that will replace him. The way our top 15 rankings work, if my understanding is correct, is that placings are only impacted by the fight(s) we are considering (and inactivity?) so that means we demote Ruiz and Hunter is automatically promoted to number 6, so you have to ask what has Hunter done to justify leap-frogging Ruiz? I like Hunter but he was outclassed by Usyk and his best win was a distinctly unimpressive Martin Bakole Ilunga. That doesn't really compete with a win over Joshua does it, even if you do regard that win as a fluke?

Same with Joyce. He hasn't fought since Dubois so why should he move up to replace Parker who was ajudged to have outpointed a rated fighter? Chisora deserves credit for fighting and taking the fighter ranked 9th in the world to a controversial decision, but does he deserve to be ranked above Pulev who beat him without difficulty?

the pulev fight was 5 years ago, and in that time i've had chisora beating whyte, parker, takam, price, szpilka

while pulev has beaten hughie, went life and death with dinu, and beat a bunch of totally shot guys

i have no problems putting chis ahead of kooby

You my friend are on drugs :D

The only decent fighter beaten by Pulev in the last 5 years is Chisora (split decision if I remember correctly?) unless you count Fury-light. Considerkng he's British I can safely assume that you don't.

Pulev is the best heavyweight in the world ... at beating nobody of note yet still maintaining a world ranking. People are finally getting wise to Mr Pulev which is why his top ten ranking is no longer automatic.

No change.
If either Parker or Ruiz won more convincingly, there would be cause to raise them higher.
They both got dropped, they both squeaked out narrow unimpressive wins.
I was disappointed with both guys.

Ruiz down to 8. Parker up to 6.

Harsh going down for a win but Ruiz got dropped by someone I consider top 50 ish...

Parker moves up for me, wasn’t pretty but I had him beating chis who is top 15 and that is a significant win compared to what others have been getting done right now.

Question A: Chisora v Parker

Parker to 7 (Showed good conditioning to absorb so much body work and it not show, looked relatively comfortable against a top 15 boxer)
Chisora no change (he gave a good account of himself against both Usyk and Parker - other fighters on the list are being matched too softly of late for me)

Let's see how Hunter does against Hrgovic as to whether he deserves to be above Parker.
Povetkin is coming off a loss, and the age gap would heavily favour Parker.

Question B: Ruiz Jr v Arreola
Didn't watch it. Want to find a decent upload first.

edit: found one
Ruiz no change (Ruiz won wide despite the KD in round 2 and nearly going down again in 3)

I bet you never watched Pulev VS chisora and hughie ... Pulev beat chisora so badly that no other fighter could do, and that was prime chisora. Even Dirty Eddie paid lot of money to judges to score for chisora. But it was like a man beating up a child.

Even at 40, still Pulev beats Parker ,chisora, whyte , ruiz .. current crop of heavyweight are shit.
