You can’t just run and expect to beat the champion anyway. Man up and stop being a little bitch.

Don't know for sure but it looks like 20'.
Thanks Yeh thought it looked big but that might’ve been BJS made it look that way

The problem is that what Billy’s team are asking for wasn’t in the contract. The contract stated 3 neutral officials (per Eddie and Mark Tibbs mentioned it too) so there won’t be judges from Mexico or the U.K. and each time can flag concerns if they don’t like the record of one of the assigned judges.

No idea what the contract states re: the ring size but Matchroom don’t strike me as the type to go against what’s in a signed deal. If it was vague in the contract (the ring size will be assigned by the Texas commission) then it’s negligent on Billy Joe’s management side that it wasn’t picked up when he signed the deal.

Tom Saunders has just done another IFL interview- he’s saying the fight is off. 😳

The fight is being proposed to have a 20ft ring (which is the standard ring size in Nevada for what it’s worth so it’s not exactly tiny) whilst Billy Joe’s team will only fight with at least a 22ft ring.

Tom also said that the ring size wasn’t specified in the contract - just that it would be decided by the commission.

I could understand if they were pushed to have a 16ft or 18ft ring but 20ft seems fair to me.

They need to stop interviewing this guy. Just to get views.

He’s becoming John Fury 2.0

Also the BBBoC lists that rings can be no less than 16ft and no more than 20ft.

But team Billy Joe wants a 22ft that wasn’t specified in the contract or they go home.

I fully agreed with team Fury going crazy about the memory foam mattress beneath the ring for the Klitschko fight but this is just stupidity and they’re being unreasonable.

Yeah - he’s coming across really poorly and it won’t be doing Billy Joe’s mental state much good either.

They should get sued if they try to pull out. They've signed a contract and 20ft is perfectly acceptable for a world title fight.

BJS has pissed himself. :OhYes:

He won't have. By the sounds of it it's not the first thing they've give In to. I'm amazed they didn't realise how much of a b side they'd be. They really dont seem happy with Eddie.

It sounds like it’s them being unreasonable though. 20ft isn’t a small ring - it’s fairly standard and it’s the top end of what’s allowed by the BBBoC. What else have they given in to?

They wanted a British judge even though the contract they signed states neutral judges. It seems strange that Eddie’s getting all of the heat for this. What are MTK doing?!

Eddie’s been on the phone to Del Boy’s mum - she said she’ll call Billy Joe and make him see sense.

There is a reason Tom is doing the talking here and not Billy. They are trying to wind up the Canelo side and if they gain a bit from it, so be it. Billy will be relaxed and focussed on his prep and weight cut.

I don’t remember it being that big but I’m sure you’re right. AJ/Ruiz 1 was 18ft and the rematch 22ft (understandably given AJ’s tactics) but it shows a 20ft is hardly small.

Eubank Sr refused ALL media approaches on Saturday because he wanted Roy Jones (and Chris Jr) to get the attention.
