Memo to IBO pres, Gilgamesh

Post by BoxBuzz »

Your organization has a new champion technichally as of Event 13.

Jorge Linares. Congratulations to him and his CPU team.

For Event 13 there are no managed fighter options. You may proceed as you wish....having Linares fight a CPU of his choice...OR waiting for Event 14.

That is all.

Nobody gets a free week as Champion, and that includes CPU Champions.

It looks to me as if the highest rated CPU opponent who hasn't faced an opponent this week would be Ruben Olivares, or you also have the former WBO Champion Benny Bass who would make a fine challenger as well.

Either one of those options is fine by me.

Both are eligible for a shot.

I'll run that fight on it's own and the higher rated guy will get the nod.

You will be the gatekeeper as to who can face the winner in week 14

Basically the highest ranked eligible managed fighter has first dibs on that.

Sir, you just opened up an opportunity a mile wide.....and GBP will Drive it's SUV through said hole in the wall.

Jem Driscoll will fight Linares for this Belt.....but will jettison it as soon as he dispenses with this so called "champion:".

You will then be able to utilize it for the MDT, or some sort of Prize fighter debacle, or simply sanction a couple of flunkees as you wish to vye for it in Week 15. It's your call.

Drisoll then intends to go after all the belts...after he recaptures the WBA sometimes soon, and he will have his little asterisk by the IBO belt...which can't technically be held by any bona fide combatants for any serious period of time.

We understand He will be ridiculed for stooping so low....but stooping builds flexibility....and thus is actually a desirable part of a good training regimen.

That is all.

We at P4P Promotions would like to point out that historically the IBO belt has only been available to challengers outside of the top 15. This would make McGovern the highest ranked eligible challenger for the WBO Belt.

Though I was too late with my request and Jem will not be facing off for this belt....

.....It's clear that the word "historically" is out of place in these modern times.

President G may be far more interested in making history vs repeating it. But it's up to him.

I will wait before I run the fight that Abe Attel's camp has asked for, to hear what this mucky muck....uh I mean this Mucho Magnificent President of the IBO, rules on this matter.

So....it appears under this statement, you are sanctioning the Linares Attell fight despite Abe's High ranking....I'm going to run with that at this point. Jem faced Kilbane since his request was later than Abe's.

No. You cease being eligible for the IBO if you're ranked in the Top 10 or higher.

As can happen when Time constraints play a role, An error was made. Now it's time for the IBO president to put the toothpaste back in the tube.

I take responsibility for what has taken place thus far but what is done can not be undone....and it's up to you to find the IBO's path forward. Attell is now the outlaw champion......nothing can change that at this point. Good luck!

Here is where the innocent error was made. your word "eligible" was misunderstood by me. AND if you wish to abolish the IBO based on this error so be it. It was yours to nurture, or destroy as you wish. But know this......it was a simply failure to communicate.....and no harm was intended. Shyt happens......and I said I took responsibility for the mishap

..now it's your turn to do whatever a good leader must do. If the end of the company is what is best...it shall end here by your royal edict. If you should reconsider....it's yours to revive as well. I was intending to run with YOUR ORDERS not CONTROL the situation......Hopefully you can forgive this and move on with the IBO. I even suggested that Jem take the shot once again MISUNDERSTANDING your ruling.

I hope this clarifys the situation.

Ok. So here's the official announcement. After some private discussions between myself and the Commish.

Abe Attell is stripped of the IBO Title effective immediately. He was never eligible for a shot at it, and was never sanctioned to fight for it.

According to the Rules of the IBO. The Vacancy should be filled between Naseem Hamed and Ben Jordan who are ranked #11 and #12 respectively.

If this is unacceptable for whatever reason such as Kevo doesn't want the fight or Ben Jordan is already booked, when we shall extend the offer to whoever's next in line from #13 on down until we got ourselves a fight.

Ahh yes. I had forgotten he had won that Title. I generally only tend to care about my own fighters, and people I'm sizing up to potentially fight in the near future. So the goings and comings of the Various titles sometimes pass me by or go unnoticed. That's one of the problem with multiple titles in the first place. If there's only 1 Champion. You by God know who it is.

Back to the business at hand though. Salvador Sanchez...COME ON DOWN!!!!
