Crawford says he doesn't "see anything in Canelo" (and he "didn't see anything in Roy Jones" - who he thinks was "manufactured") and the only people who rate him are "so called experts who have never been in the ring".

Chavez Sr named England’s Chris Eubank in ‘93 as his favourite boxer because he was one who made him smile from one ear to the other.

... I guess that Roy Jones jr KO`d the guy who outclassed Crawford Ashley puts that into perspective :OhYes:

He's not. He knocked Eubank about in sparring.

CA quit after a day because it was too tough. At the Matchroom gym in Romford in Jan ‘90.

Eubank turned down Ashley as a comeback opponent in ‘96-‘97 though. Maloney was offering Chris a few fights like M Griffin, Ashley and H Graham but there was a dispute from the late 80s with Maloney over money so Eubank turned him down.

Strangely Eubank said the only promoter he feels didn’t take money from him was allegedly. But he felt Warren was always trying to one-up him from the day FW no-showed their first meeting in ‘88.

Cog, no offence, but aren't you worried about the Eubank obsession? I mention Henry a lot but i see him most days, this is beyond wierd.

If the schizophrenic who believes Canelo and Roy Jones were frauds says so then it must be true. He complained the sparring was too hard so walked.

Can anybody cite an example of a MTK fighter losing a close one on the cards?

margaret thatcher wrote: 08 May 2021, 04:52 btw, i dont know if canelo is continually wearing lifts, or if saunders is actually shorter than claimed, but im surprised by how close in height they look. i havent noticed canelo looking shorter compared to his opponents in the ring than he did in press photos, so im inclined to believe it's close to the actual height difference

Saunders certainly looks the naturally bigger man. Taller with bigger frame.

What's your prediction, mate?

I was thinking about Chavez v Sweet Pea before so had a bit of a surf. I had somehow missed that Pernell had been killed a couple of years back! Anyhow, I think Canelo, like JCC was, is top drawer, the question has to be is Billy in Sweet Pea's league?
Canelo on points, Billy Joe does a lot better than expected - bamboozles the Mex for first half of fight - I don’t think he’ll quit either

Bamboozle as in bounce around like a bunny rabbit... won’t matter, the result matters. And Canelo will leave the ring without a scratch on his face.

if he says canelo has nothing and only arm chair fans rate canelo then i can say he knows f@ck all about canelo

tbh, if that's what craw thinks, it's not an opinion worth taking seriously at all, whether crawford fought or not. loads of fighters say stupid, uninformed stuff all the time. roy jones was being wheeled out by the guys clutching for straws for bill, but he also loved khan to beat canelo

just check the track record of fighters for predictions, scoring, etc....you'll see there's tons of sh!t they serve up too
