Depends where. Canelo definitely gets the decision west of the Mississippi, Calzaghe could get it in the NE. Either way I think it’s a fairly close fight

Calzaghe was caught by Hopkins and fading Jones. Canelo's timing is not worse. Calzaghe could be hurt and Canelo has fearsome power. Calzaghe was fast and very active fighter, but Canelo has a very good defence.

I think, Calzaghe would be outworking Canelo, but Canelo would land more significant damage. Probably Calzaghe could feel enough of it to slow down or even be stopped.

id be very surprised if canelo stopped him, joe had great recovery and was never hurt for more than a short period. the fights he was dropped he either won in the very same round or won the very next round

Canelo could drop Calzaghe because lesser hitters did, but could he keep him down? That's the question. He'd have to because otherwise Calzaghe is taking it on points.
