You know he's gonna try and spin it though. He'll say he had no control of the decision, it was Tibbs, blah, blah, blah.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 01:20 having a good cry with mick i think

Oiky is a great poster
Saunders performed better than I thought he would to be honest, it wasn't a half bad performance off him.

it's an interesting one, cuz on the one hand i think he's a bit delusional and shameless, and those types may be able to come back strong because they really believe their excuses and might not be bothered by what ppl say. you might expect a guy like this to fully believe he was winning the fight, it was the trainers fault etc (any long lanky murderous punching hw come to mind lol)Nondescript wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 01:22You know he's gonna try and spin it though. on the other hand, when a fighter quits like that, it shows a recognition of their own vulnerability, and that's something bill never faced before
he's known for dedication problems, and now with this big payday and his first loss, it might be tough for him to get the spark back

Re: Oiky
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he just retires now to be honest. He got a big pay cheque so what's the point in continuing. He no longer has a belt somargaret thatcher wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 01:26it's an interesting one, cuz on the one hand i think he's a bit delusional and shameless, and those types may be able to come back strong because they really believe their excuses and might not be bothered by what ppl say. you might expect a guy like this to fully believe he was winning the fight, it was the trainers fault etc (any long lanky murderous punching hw come to mind lol)Nondescript wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 01:22You know he's gonna try and spin it though. I'm still here
Joe was in it,but Canelo was patient, not wasting anything and just taking his openings
Can't take anything away from Canelo he has got better and better as his career has gone on and a very good fighter to watch
Good performance from Billyjoe,
It is what it is

Good man Oiky.
Sadly I don't think Billy will live a happy life despite his financial wealth. He's from a macho culture. He'll know he quit and everybody he knows will know he quit and because of how he is as a person, and what he's said, I think he'll struggle.

Re: Oiky
Oiky backed his man just like any of us would if we knew a fighter, and believed he would win (I thought Saunders would beat Canelo for what it’s worth).
Can’t start making threads about posters for backing someone and getting it wrong but silly really. Not having a dig Jimmy as I think your a good knowledgeable poster but don’t make you right on this one mate. Fair play oiky for taking it well though
