Billy Big Bollocks
Billy Big Bollocks
Well will he ever live it down ,,Not the loss , but the way it happenned ,,, Start with there will always be arguments has to wether or not he was , winning or losing , thats subjective to how you see and score a fight ,,, personally i had it 4-3 Canelo ... Going into the 8th ,,, then Billy copped a hard one and went to peices , he struggled and got belted in the 8th ,,, making it 8-5 Canelo ..
Now the interesting thing is , i noticed the eye when he sat down , it was bruised and a slight cut UNDER THE EYE , i could'nt make out what they were asking him , but noticed 2 maybee 3 times Billy saying NO with a shake of his head ,, i assumed they were asking him you OK or you want to go on ,, but it was a definete NO .
mY LAD SAT NEXT TO ME SAID THERE GONNA STOP IT AND I SAID BULLSHIT THE CUTS NOT OPENED ITS UNDER THE EYE , AND THE EYES JUST BRUISED ,, THEN IT WAS STOPPED ,
What do i make of that , personaly i think Billy Big Bollocks , has'nt dropped his Bollocks yet ,, that Aussie girl the other week shown more heart than him .....
OK ok , before all his nuthuggers come on talking damage lost sight ect ,, at that time in that corner , the close up of his eye shown swelling , bit of bruising and a small cut ,,, something that 1500 pound a fight journey men recieve and fight through every other day around the world ,, do they quit on there stool not usually at least not till the doc pulls them out or the cuts opened , or the eye is completly shut .
Why his nut huggers will ask should Billy carry on . I'll tell you why, he's a profesional who got paid MILLIONS ,yes MILLIONS, to go out there and leave it in the ring. Look at how much other lesser paid pro's have gone through before they quit ,, he quit because two things happenned ,, 1 Canelo sussed it all out and applied the pressure and power shots in rnd 8 , he hurt Billy bollocks ,, and billy seen his out with his eye and took it .
Here in Australia it gets very hot often , and you see men and women out playing tennis , , after an hour they say stuff this its too hot , pack up and go home ,,, and so they should why get heat stroke over a game of tennis ,,,, But when the pro's play and its hot they go 3 hrs or so WHY because there paid millions too do so .
Pro boxing is no different , Billy got paid millions to go on not quit ,,, Has numerous people have said ,, what else can you expect from a pro boxer who bullies people in the street ,

He’ll forever be remembered as a quitter. Talked the talk but couldn’t walk the walk.

Re: Billy Big Bollocks
He was definitely going to get stopped that next round or so. Go out on your shield or quit and preserve mental and physical attributes to fight again? I suppose once the boxing is over then that will be it for Saunders - he isn't going to star in Persil adverts or after dinner speaking (it is hard listening to him for 30 seconds...)
I am of the opinion that any boxer can quit for whatever reason they deem fit/necessary - saying that - it's a bad look if the boxer in question was vocal about other boxers heart/courage and just acted like an absolute gobshite in general - I felt sorry and bad for Dubois - Saunders is just his Karma catching up with him and Buddha allowed us all to watch.

Re: Billy Big Bollocks
Saunders i'd say his finished. He's 31 and that injury is very likely to recur when he gets hit flush again.
His days at world level are done.

Re: Billy Big Bollocks
We won’t see him again (thank fornicate). Took the money and bitched out.
Re: Billy Big Bollocks
Agree it isnt that he quit that is the issue, its the way he gobbed off about others quitting and that he would die in the ring etc. If he had gone out for the next round, gave it a go, then took a knee there wouldnt have been an issue for me.
Re: Billy Big Bollocks
From the way Saunders reacted I wouldn't be surprised if the injury was worse that your standard closed eye, might have been seeing double or similar. I remember Ogogo's eye didn't look anything unusual at the time.

Not seen it yet and dont like BJS one bit but it's a shame it ended like that. Usual response from all the keyboard warriors digging him out for 'quitting' when of course they could have carried on and seen the distance out with Canelo after hed smashed their eye in.
Re: Billy Big Bollocks
It's easy to talk about never quitting, no one starts out with the intention of quitting but circumstances push the character to the point where it becomes an option.
BJS was getting punched all over the ring in the seventh after being fairly comfortable. He must have suddenly realised he was very vulnerable and knew what was coming next.
He bailed out, pure and simple. Hopefully he takes his money and disappears.

He was paid millions and millions and millions (of our hard-earned money), spoke shit (for years), taunted, claimed he’d rather die in the ring than pull out etc etc come on. Embarrassing, exposed. Fraud. Bitch. I’ve had worse injuries and carried on sparring behind closed doors for no money. It’s hardly inspiring stuff is it.dr_devious wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 02:19 Not seen it yet and dont like BJS one bit but it's a shame it ended like that. BJS is a kn0b but personally I wouldn't have wished this on him. Dubois got similar crap on here too
Re: Billy Big Bollocks
Some of the DDD posts were spiteful and unwarranted IMO, but with BS it's absolutely fair game.
Coneye is spot on. I've seen fighters boxing for peanuts go through the pain barrier, showing incredible bravery for the paying punter's entertainment. BS gave us practically nothing and was paid obscene amounts.

He took a handful of heavy shots in the entire fight. It wasn't exactly a brawl was it?veriton wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 02:22 It's easy to talk about never quitting, no one starts out with the intention of quitting but circumstances push the character to the point where it becomes an option.

Thank you for that link Nondescript. Here's a direct quite from the article by BS :
“If my two eye sockets were broken, my jaw was broken, my teeth were out, my nose was smashed, my brain was beaten, I was not stopping until I was knocked out or worse."
This has been BS's mantra all the way along.
If he's judged by his own pledge, how did he do ?

Re: Billy Big Bollocks
Boxing is the sport BJS chose - and the written, and unwritten, rules are very clear to those that choose it, as BJS has previously been very vocal to explain.
Trying to pass these rules onto `keyboard warriors` who draw attention to the unwritten rule about quitting in a fight is just ignorant.
BJS quit. No doubt his eye was painful ... although as painful as it was he didnt know it was broken .. he may have suspected it, and it really may have been ... but he didnt know; just like he didnt know if the pain would ease up in the next few minutes. The warrior mentality as Josh Warrington recently showed is that as tough as things are - they are tough enough to get through them .. and win.
BJS quit at the first opportunity. Soon as the shot landed he shut up shop. The bully could see he was gonna get bullied .. and quit soon as he possibly could.
The ending played to a predictable conclusion of when a bully get tested.

Re: Billy Big Bollocks
I do think that is spot on. Its not like there was a round or two to go. Unfortunately for BJS he will struggle to live this down because of his constant spouting off on stuff over the years, eg Dubois. A bit of thought before speaking would have been more appropriate for him. Its one thing doing the typical British WBO champ routine for a few years, but a totally different ballgame getting in the ring with a pxxxed off Canelo in front of all his fans. BJS did really well whilst he was in there and wasn't outclassed but the highlighted comment above pretty much nails it.veriton wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 02:22 It's easy to talk about never quitting, no one starts out with the intention of quitting but circumstances push the character to the point where it becomes an option.

Re: Billy Big Bollocks
All of the Brits who have faced Canelo were taken beatings or were going to get their clock cleaned, but at least they tried to do what they could.
BS quit the moment the writing was on the wall.
For the first time in his career the moment of truth arrived and he made the decision to quit.

Has that Australian women got more balls than BJS?
