Eddie Bossman Jones- Missing fights?
According to an article in the June 1968 Boxing Illustrated by William O'Neill on Eddie "Bossman" Jones entitled Stalking A Tiger, Bossman Jones turned pro in 1958 and his first pro bout was a knockout loss to Manuel Jefferson. The article states after that he "won most of his fights, but he really didn't go anywhere." He served 5-years in prison and returned to the ring in 1965. Boxrec lists his pro career starting in 1965. Not sure if the article is accurate, but just thought I'd get it out there for discussion.

Adding missing historical fights is a constant on-going project.
Guys like Wouter van Alst and Matt Tegen (and many others) are doing the hard digging and expanding the database on old fights week after week.
I may not be the most profilic history-compiler around but just to give an idea how much is still missing - about a week ago this Guam jr. lightweight (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/15278) had a BoxRec-record of 1-0 entering the fight versus Tyrone (Harlem Butcher) Jackson in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Now after few evenings of myself going through the archived issues of Pacific Daily News it appears his pro record upto Jackson-fight is complete. 1990s is still missing some results of his as the archives are sketchy there.
All in all, I found probably about 200 previously missing results from Guam + some which had previously been errantly inserted from Japanese records of the visiting boxers and/or had been completely wrongly dated in old Ring Record Books (roughly right results, but off by a year or two).
So - it is completely possible that someone someday runs across additional Bossman Jones results. But a vague article written 10 years later and without details is not a reliable source.

Edgar Jones was a pretty busy club fighter in California. He is not to be confused with Eddie Jones
