I get all that but the 50/50 has already been agreed. It sounds like he’s wanting guarantees on the money regardless of how it performs. Just seems like overkill.joshj909 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 13:26Tyson always says he doesn't care about the money and he'll do it for free or donate it to charity. When it comes down to it he's all about the 50/50 split, not taking the fight unless it's worth the money and talking about how big a fight is by the value of it.maverick23 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 12:47 Just listened to an interview FW did with Seconds Out today. He said Fury’s not wanting to sign because of there being a lack of guarantee about the money.
Tyson was also on Eddie’s BBC podcast saying he doesn’t care about the money late last week.
I don't blame Fury, he's bullshitting like all boxers do for their image to sell tickets. I do blame the boxing media for not calling him out on his contradictions and I blame the deluded fans who try and claim his contradictory statements are somehow both true and that he's an honest guy.

Yeah, I get what you mean. I meant more prior to this fight since his return from his "retirement" he was always talking about how he should be making the same or more split than Wilder and AJ.maverick23 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 13:43 I get all that but the 50/50 has already been agreed. Something doesn't smell right. I'm almost certain this fight won't happen next.

If it doesn’t happen then it looks like it will be down to Fury unfortunately.

it's going to be 14th August, isn't it? I thought that had been leaked. That's a bad date for AJ unless McCracken is somehow allowed to miss the Olympics (he shouldn't). Whilst all AJ's hard sparring will be out of the way, there could still be two crucial weeks 23 July to 8 August when Rob is absent. October 30 would have been a better date IMO.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 24 July 2021?
It'll happen. Fury is a shitetalker. He's well up for this. Disregard everything he ever says is your safest bet.maverick23 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 15:56If it doesn’t happen then it looks like it will be it will be down to Fury unfortunately.

I do disregard a lot of what he says but it’s one of his promoters who’s saying he’s not going to sign the contract and is eyeing up a July fight in the States.Jimmy2020 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 15:59It'll happen. Don't think the Olympics will be on tbh .Jimmy2020 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 15:58 it's going to be 14th August, isn't it? I thought that had been leaked. Fury should have realy fought in December..
Don’t get why he didn’t just fight in USA on a TR card.
If money wasn’t an issue, he would have fought. Would have been PPV in UK regardless.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - August 2021?
FW did an interview last night saying Tyson wasn’t signing unless he received guarantees on the money. Also said that if it doesn’t get sorted quickly then he’ll be looking to do an alternative July fight in the states.
Why do FW/Bob keep mentioning alternative fights? Surely they should be doing all they can to get this fight over the line?

Would have done at least a few hundred thousand buys on UK PPV. Wouldn't have broke the bank to get someone like Kabayel over. Fury would have easily made a couple mil off it.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 18:12 Fury should have realy fought in December..

Fury doesn't run his own page.

If you pray, pray for innocent Israelis and Palestinians alike.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - August 2021?
Israel / Saudi don't have diplomatic relations, but have increasingly been working together covertly over the last few years (largely in response to Iran). UAE and a number of other Gulf states actually normalised relations with Israel quite recently for the first time in decades. So I would hope it won't have a huge impact especially since it was deleted sharpish.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - August 2021?
The impact it will have is on Tyson's large Muslim fanbase. He will lose a lot of them in a heartbeat over that comment.dookus wrote: ↑12 May 2021, 07:06 Israel / Saudi don't have diplomatic relations, but have increasingly been working together covertly over the last few years (largely in response to Iran). Yes, I know it’s serious money, but I’m convinced Fury wants to find a way of delaying this. He just doesn’t sound 100% confident when he talks AJ. I think he would love the Saudis to turn around and say no money in escrow/cause offence to them, to give him an escape route.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 May 2021, 04:30It’s been removed now from his story.handsofstone wrote: ↑12 May 2021, 04:16 Seen Fury tweeting "pray for Israel "![]()

Yeh, a lot of Muslim fans saw it and now that’s it’s out there, it’s being reposted etc. Does he need damage control?Jimmy2020 wrote: ↑12 May 2021, 07:18The impact it will have is on Tyson's large Muslim fanbase. Thing with Fury is, he’s open to all faiths. He works with Muslims, Jews, Christians. Before his fights, he does a prayer in English, then a Muslim man on his team does a prayer in Arabic/English as well.
And a couple of years ago, he had Free Palestine on his boxing shorts whilst he was training.
