Joe Louis' professional boxing career was from July 7, 1934 till October 26, 1951. Joe had a very great career.
What would you say was Joe's prime years? Against which opponents? Why?
Please explain.
Joe Louis?

OK, I guess I will take a stab at it. Difficult to pinpoint exactly when he reached his prime. He had a fast rise. He had to be pretty close already when he beat Carnera in 1935. He did lose the first Schmeling fight, but was beating top guys and impressing people before that. Supposedly Schmeling noticed that he could be hit with a right hand (apparently no other opponent ever thought of that) and used it to beat Louis. Then Louis supposedly worked on that.
It's easier to pinpoint when it ended. !942. He was never the same when he came back after World War II.

1937 - 1942
Opponents were pretty poor though but thats not Joe's fault.
