Re: Jamie McDonnell has Retired
Met him once when I was on the piss, turned around and thought that's fcuking Jamie McDonnell, no-one else in the place had a clue who he was but I went and had a craic with him and he was a very sound guy. Tried to get a picture but couldn't find it the morning after, clearly fcuked it up while steaming
never mind. Good luck to him in the future.

Not sure if he’s skint or not but he went through an expensive divorce, had a huge house, big fancy cars & luxury holidays so wouldn’t be surprised if he was. Although it should be said he still plastered when he was a world champion. I hope he’s still got plenty left as he took on tough fights & travelled abroad for them so deserves to have done well out of the sport.
Brilliant career & I think he’s made the right choice. It’s hard at 35 to get back to the top level especially when he’s not really fought for 3 years & one of his biggest assets was his size at the weight.

Not checked. Did Jamie win all the belts?
English, British, Comm, Euro and world.

I was there at the Doncaster Dome when he blitzed Wayne Bloy for the English title. He looked special, but still surpassed expectations.
Outstanding career
Best wishes for life after boxing

He got a fortune for 2 x Kameda and Inoue fights - that said his missus (ex) looked very stereotypical football wives type - money money money. When money stopped rolling she bailed.a force wrote: ↑13 May 2021, 05:02 Not sure if he’s skint or not but he went through an expensive divorce, had a huge house, big fancy cars & luxury holidays so wouldn’t be surprised if he was.
