All gone a bit quiet, hasn't it. No announcements, nothing mentioned in interviews, no fornicating shows in the UK announced after Saturday.

My prediction is they're staying with as it is - using both platforms.

Based on nothing more than the weird silence. And the fact Sandy Ryan signed with Matchroom today and the graphic included both DAZN and Sky Sports - why bother if that finishes in three days?

I think their deal is up at the end of June and they’re planning a Ritson show for mid June.

I think they’re leaving to joint DAZN but may be regretting their decision already due to DAZN not being able to get any English football rights so far.

Ritson in Newcastle is last show under Matchroom/Sky deal - it expires end of June.

That’s why they have not announced anything.

They are planning Fight Camp with (fans) this time again - and he said they have couple of things with Canelo/Reynoso to announce.

Think they’ll keep all the shows until they switch to announce.

They had 2 shows around Joshua/Fury in August as well so they are planning - possibly going to announce 5,6,7 as blockbuster start to DAZN deal perhaps ?

Eddie said yesterday in an interview that if Canelo fights on PBC against Plant DAZN would be fine with it as they knew from the outset that Canelo wasn't tied to a long term deal with DAZN. I expect similar with AJ and Whyte. If AJ can make more on SKY Box Office then he will stay there (if he beats Fury) and Hearn will probably be allowed to promote him.

But Hearn is 100% going with DAZN - he said as much at the weekend when he said that in his new deal he would have full control of the broadcast presentation - Sky simply won't allow that.

Froch's comments that "I'm a sky man" is surely a huge clear indication that Eddie is off and Froch won't be joining him.

Again clearer indications that the deal is signed - on IFL Kugan asks Eddie "so when are DAZN UK going to up their price" - and Eddie replied "probably when they expand their content" - well Eddie is Dazn, and all Eddie shows are on Dazn UK except the UK ones - so there is only one thing they can expand on.

My interest though is on Eddie seemingly using more and more of the BBC - radio rights, his podcast, the Canelo documentary - could we have maybe a "highlights" / "delayed" deal with the BBC?

So the fight goes on PPV, will approach $75million revenue plus an easy sell out Vegas fight night which does bigger revenue than the Cowboys Stadium, and DAZN sit and watch. Just like they will do on the Joshua/Fury fight in the US and the UK.

One thing I had not previously thought of is that I'm now wondering if DAZN see a progressing cap on the growth of new subscriber. So they may think that because of all of the new subscribers that subscribed because of the latest Canelo fight, they would only receive a limited number of new subscribers which would not increase their annual revenue more than putting on a Canelo fight would bring in.

In short, if Canelo was to fight 12 times a year it would cost them 12 fights worth of purse to pay him but they would still only receive the revenue of a year's worth of boxing fan subscriptions with limited new subscribers as you would assume they've already joined after the first few fights.

In the long run this could see more inactivity for the bigger names as the subscription format would not bring in much more revenue for each fight in the same way a PPV does which means DAZN would have to pick and choose who fills their schedules while balancing their books.

Nope, the whole thing was pulled after the court case.

No - when Canelo left Golden Boy he also left his contract with DAZN.

I think you’re right with the BBC. Eddie has to market his DAZN shows to as many eye balls as possible so doing things like his podcast, the Canelo documentary etc. will only help that.

I can definitely see them giving BBC delayed fights. I’m a little surprised they didn’t give them the Canelo/BJS highlights.

It’s not something it once was but it will still get a decent sized audience and therefore potentially more people willing to pay for their next fight.
