Charr wins by 2nd round KO. Lovejoy was awful. Barely got touched and stayed down.
He was looking for a way out from round 1.

Haha seriously. Lovejoy charged at charr and they went down like wrestlers in round 1. Lovejoy got up and tried to say his shoulder was hurt. Came out for round 2, Charr looked like he barely caught him with a punch or 2 and he stayed on his knee then got up once he was counted out.

Must have broken the record for the smallest crowd for a world heavyweight title fight

Re: Charr - Lovejoy
Come on that’s not fair. If you'd won the world heavyweight title after 4 years out you'd be pretty happy.....
Re: Charr - Lovejoy
I guess Don King was doing him a favour by preventing him from fighting.
Re: Charr - Lovejoy
So, the great undefeated, undisputed, pound-for-pound best, indestructible, invincible Sugar Christopher Lovejoy has been defeated! The new era of terror has begun, as Manuel Charr has taken the throne!

Basically any fat bloke with two arms and matched against easy pushovers can get a top 10 ranking. Awful.

Clearly wasn't in the right frame of mind or would still be undefeated

Opted for the philly shell defence. If he switches to a more conventional one he can stay safe and outpoint Charr in the rematch.
Re: Charr - Lovejoy
OK, what am I missing? Stupid though this fight was, who is suggesting any world title was on the line here? I can't see that anyone is.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑15 May 2021, 16:58Come on that’s not fair. If you'd won the world heavyweight title after 4 years out you'd be pretty happy.....
