Now there is a European champion who I think many of the Brits are capable of beating. Skelton and Sprott would if they could get it on home soil.... Danny might not in current shape, and Scott Gammer would probably need a bit more experience - but definately capable.

He is poor.

Sturm and coach Michael Timm have worked on Sturms power leading up to this fight, due to the fact that Sturm have only stopped 3 opponents in his last 12 fights.

Good combo by sturm, but JC avoinds some of the punches.

JC going a lot to the body.

Sturm down from a right cross.

JC all over him

JC tires

wild exchange from both

Ref breaks up the round 10 secs too early (both go to the corner with no protest)

JC comes out firing in the first 20 secs.

Both lands some good punches

Tempo dropped.

Sturm a bit dirty, uses the should and then throws a right hand (ref didnt detect it)

JC still mainly going to the body, Sturm to the head.

JS has the middle of the ring

Seems like both are taking it slow in this round.

Sturm with a decent right hand.

JS lands a good right to the head of Sturm

Sturm now seems to be "over" the knockdown, he is more offensive, but its still JS that has the middle of the ring.

JS still dangerous with 1-2 combo's.

Sturm's counter punches is really starting to work now.

Playboy has an add in the ring..

There seems to be a pattern in the fight, JS in the middle of the ring, going for the body while Sturm counters to the head.

Sturm down, ruled a slip (probably was)

Sturm landing to decent uppercuts.

Sturm really doing nothing offensively in this round, but he is avoiding JSs punches.

With 50 secs to go Sturm begins to throw punches.

Very few landed punches this round.

Crowd cheers as if Sturm landed a right hand, but on TV it was clear that JS avoided it

A couple of counters from Sturm.

JC not throwing as many shots at the moment.

Crowd cheers again because of a Sturm Uppercut, but it was clearly in JCs gloves.

Sturm wins the round because he connecnt a bit more, JS clearly the more agressive fighter

A bit premature? Ref jumped in after 2 clean uppercuts to chin hurt Sturm as his back was against ropes, but Sturm managed go into a good defence, Ref stepped in as Castillejo stopped punching, but nothing was coming back from Sturm...

I had Sturm ahead 87-84 before the stoppage. Good finishing from Castillejo, can't believe Sturm was still on his feet after those uppercuts.

Sturm was staggered with a big left hook and took 3 accurate uppercuts flush on the ropes and a left to body and ref jumps in perfectly. sturm was out of it. bad setback.

On review of replay, Sturm got hurt bad with left hook that knocked him against ropes, followed by 2 hard clean left uppercuts, Sturm manages to hold def, while Castillejo glances with another 2 uppercut as ref jumps in. Can't argue with stoppage as Sturm didn't put up much of a case himself, he was close to being KO'd, finished. Nice updates as always Freiheit!

So Spain now has a legit World Champion!

Castillejo was interviewed in german, turns out that he grew up in Germany so he speaks german.

very good stoppage Sturm was totally out and had a bad broken nose...he was just hanging on the ropes but he was dead on his feet...
