Why I want Joshua vs Fury fight to be cancelled.....

Post by TopGun »

Because Joshua will then fight Usyk - which in my opinion will be a better fight. Usyk can win this.

Fury will fight Wilder again, which again, could go either way.

So instead of 1 fight we get 2!

Better for us boxing fans but for the causals they wont be happy

Anyone agree?

It pisses me off no end, i seriously cant be fcvked annoyed with the lot of it but any Heavyweight scrap other than Joshua/Fury is a step down, no matter how good other match up are

Oh and I think Wilder is finished, maybe not physically but mentally.

Knowing Fury got up in that 12th round and the beating he took in the rematch will have effected him, he doesn’t get back to the level he was at

i am happy to see AJ v Usyk , before or after Fury .
But give him zero chance of winning despite his skill set etc , he just wont have the power to trouble AJ whilst having to take much harder shots than he did vs Chisora .

Usyk hasn't looked great at heavyweight , as others have said Joshua beats him handily .

Suppose it was always on the cards so we should'nt be too shocked ,, Usyk --AJ , think its gonna be a case of a good big en , v a good little en ,, Usyk will do well for a while then AJ will get sick of messing about and just go finish him ..

Wilder well I think we will always be watching for Fury to demolish him again , and it will probably happen because , take away the big punch , don't get caught on the end of his swing , and Wilder does'nt have much does he ,, so i guess its just gonna be like waiting for that 3 pm train wreck we knows gonna happen , in the hope that someone changes the tracks and we get a suprise ,,, If they box with the same controlled aggresion another easy night for Tyson .

AJ---Fury ,,, well suppose these two fights and a december date , will top of the year , we waited this long another few months will not matter ,,, but i peronally am losing interest

Really? Usyk more skilled than Joshua, Joshua stronger, think it would be a great fight of styles. He supposedly gave Wladmir a complete beat down in sparring that he had to stop it.....

I just think it would be predictable, Usyk will look great for the first few rounds, then slow down and get brutally stopped.

rarely do"us" posters disagree on fights - I even heard once that bookies and columnists come on here to hear what the 'true' boxing fans think to get inspiration. That could be bollocks but I was told that.

Given that we disagree and others do too, suggest it actually would be a good fight? Lets hope it happens hey ;)

I think Usyk vs Joshua could be brilliant.

Usyk is a bright guy. He's seen his limitations at heavyweight in just 2 fights. He knows now how hard they hit.

But he'll have a plan to win the fight and he'll also know it's his big opportunity not just to make incredible money but to become a 3 belt champ. This won't be David Haye vs Wladimir.

And if they can make it quickly without the circus, then all the better.

Usyk, Wilder, Joshua, Fury + Whyte/Ruiz/Joyce just below- just have them all fight each other as much as possible without the constant interviews and tweets, and just announce the fights when they are signed and have a venue and date.

Really ?

Why on earth would Fury not want it ? He's bigger, better boxer, established No.1 and the betting favourite. He's also (if only slightly) the B side. Financially, Sporting Legacy.., whatever way you look at it, no other fight makes sense.

Why TF do you think he doesnae' want it ?

Plenty of disagreement on here sometimes  But I dunno, I probably do rate Usyk less highly than a lot of people so I could well be wrong. I’m just really not sold on him as a heavyweight, especially against someone like Joshua.

Yes there sure are. I think I meant that when there is a big fight happening (or may happen in this case), most people on here tend to get the outcome right....even when joe public may say the opposite.

I think Joshua maybe too strong but if Usyk can use his skills, stamina and footwork, he may be able to box his head of for 12 rounds. I dont think people can use the Chisora fight as reasoning as he is a different animal to Joshua.

Lets see, put it this way, I'll put my money where my mouth is in the bookies if they do fight as I think it will be worth a few quid, odds should be in favour of Aj so worth a few quid right?!

It wouldn’t have been an issue back in the golden old days, Fury could have fought Joshua and Wilder within a month of each other.......go on Fury go old school

A bit optimistic considering he hasn’t fought at all in 15 months
