Re: Wilder wins Arbitration
Fury v wilder 2 lost money because of the guarantees. A 3rd fight will lose even more
Its posturing. A nice step aside and vacant title fight after the inevitable stripping makes more sense for wilder

I agree. That's how I see it playing out. Nothing more.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 11:12 Fury v wilder 2 lost money because of the guarantees. A 3rd fight will lose even more

Re: Wilder wins Arbitration
Why do so many ask "does Wilder deserve a rematch?" When has "deserving" something meant anything in boxing? It's about what a team negotiates. If it was about what someone deserves, the little guys would be getting fat pay cheques, and fighters wouldn't be able to sit on their hands for the Canelo payday. The sport isn't about getting what one "deserves"

Not quite, but he did win at least 5 rounds, 2 by 10-8.oogiebe wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 17:13shut out plus two knockdowns; a long count and no drugged water.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 17:10 wilder won the first fight widely didnt he, at least 6 or 7 points

I disagree, but isn't that what this is all about. Which rounds did you give him besides the two KD rounds?ironbeard wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 17:34Not quite, but he did win at least 5 rounds, 2 by 10-8.oogiebe wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 17:13shut out plus two knockdowns; a long count and no drugged water.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 17:10 wilder won the first fight widely didnt he, at least 6 or 7 points![]()
Re: Wilder wins Arbitration
I don’t keep archives of my cards but I had Wilder 115-111 I believe, or 114-112. I wasn’t as impressed with Fury’s flickery as most were.
I had no problem with the draw, and I would not have called a close decision for Fury a robbery, like so many called the draw.
Fury accomplished next to nothing in that fight, with the exception of getting up off his ass twice.

116-110 bruhs, that's about how wilder won it
fury might get his head knocked off in a third fight, you never know
we gotta hype fury-wilder 3 somehow

if you look here, and scroll through a lot of ppl are okay with draw (including the amazing jamamb) or had wilder winning viewtopic.php?f=22&t=226758&hilit=
therefore the series could easily be 1-1 . imagine it is and they are breaking the tie. yippiie !!
maybe fury will be mentally thrown off by the aj fight not happening. i dunno, im just tryna get excited here in case we do get fury-wilder 3 bruhs

Otto is the true WBC champ anyway, he did enough to stop fury on cuts. Corrupt refs/drs only let it go cause fury was A-side..margaret thatcher wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 21:29 if you look here, and scroll through a lot of ppl are okay with draw (including the amazing jamamb) or had wilder winning viewtopic.php?f=22&t=226758&hilit=

Re: Wilder wins Arbitration
I would prefer AJ v Fury and Wilder v Whyte or Usyk or Parker or Ruiz Jr or Rivas or Joyce or whoever.
But, I will watch Fury v Wilder III if it happens and AJ v Usyk or whoever.
The results of the first fight have 0 bearing on that.

Re: Wilder wins Arbitration
That's how it should have been. But today top fighters are on the bum diets to preserve the winning streak and secure the challenger status. That's pure sh1t. A really good and watchable fighter can be chosen for the shot even with recent losses. Moreover, the value of the straps is going down. Every sound fan will know who's the man and who holds the paper belt. The boxing politics went ridiculous.

Clever tbh... How was the present circumstance not take care of prior to organizing an arrangement that was worth around
More out of control currently going to request $50mil, most likely, after Eddie has more than once mentioned to us what the site charge is.
Complete parody. What's more, that is overlooking exactly the number of compulsory sessions are beginning to pile up too the window for this session is currently... What's more, it should be arranged, monetarily, with Wilder rapidly or it's dead in the water.

But...there are signs of life in the lower divisions. The Showtime card last Saturday was great. Competitive up and down. This weekend we get two old school warriors putting it all on the line AND Lundy v Zepeda. In fact, the whole damned card is solid. Wish I could be there.
Canelo has been doing his part.
Decent fights coming up this Summer. Teofimo v Kambosos Jr should be a competitive barn burner.
All of the classes from light welter down are firing up, IMO.
I’m a glass half full dude, obviously.

he's a frikkin warrior to da bone who demands to go out on his shield!!!

Re: Wilder wins Arbitration
Yeah, that's a contradiction. If he knows his worth, he wouldn't also be stupid enough to refuse to be paid step-aside money that exceeds his worth. He'd probably make $30-35 million from a third fight, that's his worth. If he refuses $40 million because he thinks he's worth more, then he doesn't know his worth.adislav123 wrote: ↑19 May 2021, 11:45 i don't think wilder will accept ANY step aside!

Re: Wilder wins Arbitration
your equasion would make sense if wilder was businessman only!
you forget that he's a born fighter, true warrior, ready if not eager to take a life, bash in his foe's skull with those blessed fists.
a REAL man who demands to rather leave his life than the thrown towel in the blood stained ring dust.
one thing in mind only: to destroy! to crush his opponent OR should he be defeated to go down swinging & if out only on his shield!
so you think meager 5 mil are enough compensation for not stepping thru those ropes into the boxing ring?
the arena of life and death, the center of his very existence where he experiences the burning extasy and the bloody agony that IS FIGHTING to him!
live or die, kill or get killed but only one way, the way of the true warrior, beyonce so passionately fully embodies.

Re: Wilder wins Arbitration
I think Wilder wants to knock Furys block off. He was embarrassed last time. He wants revenge.
