It’s interesting. Crawford can do the lot. Spence and Porter are very, very good and they’re all in just one weight.

I bet English lies in his bed at night, wondering what vaguely controversial long winded waffle he can churn out in the morning to get his boat race and name in the papers / web the next day.
He’s really become a crashing bore.

He keeps himself to himself. I think after watching jr against Morrison, even Chris wouldn't have called out GGG, Canelo, Charlo or even Liam Williams! He really would be sectioned.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 13:48Because its part of his diva attitude and control of his statements I would suggest.coghaugen11 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 10:09He keeps himself to himself. He’d been out three years and could’ve blasted the kid out in two rounds but had to take it easy because he needed the rounds.mickey1975 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 13:59I think after watching jr against Morrison, even Chris wouldn't have called out GGG, Canelo, Charlo or even Liam Williams! He couldn't. He's not very powerful. He was very lucky against Kobarov.coghaugen11 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 14:20He’d been out three years and could’ve blasted the kid out in two rounds but had to take it easy because he needed the rounds.mickey1975 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 13:59I think after watching jr against Morrison, even Chris wouldn't have called out GGG, Canelo, Charlo or even Liam Williams! Try telling George Groves he’s not very powerful. Groves had 35lb on him and any of the few times Jr launched in (when not just standing there) GG was on the ropes.

I'm not getting into it with you. I had enough last time. A guy I know boxed him and said he can't punch at all. That'll do me.coghaugen11 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:37 Try telling George Groves he’s not very powerful. Re: Sr: Russians not as skilled as Americans
tbf, i notice that east europeans in general seem to have a bit more rigidity in their approach and less adaptivness than usa/uk fighters. when things go wrong they dont deal with it as well......it's like they have a book on how to box properly, and wont veer from that approach no matter
Re: Sr: Russians not as skilled as Americans
Not sure what fight you were watching. Junior barely made a dent in Groves, who wasn't exactly renowned for his iron chin.coghaugen11 wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 15:37 Try telling George Groves he’s not very powerful. The only time Groves looked in trouble was in the final round after his shoulder went, unlike Junior, who was lucky not to have several knockdowns against him.
Re: Sr: Russians not as skilled as Americans
UK fighters used to be considered upright and stiff by our friends over the pond, it is only in recent years that perception has shifted somewhat.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 17:31 tbf, i notice that east europeans in general seem to have a bit more rigidity in their approach and less adaptivness than usa/uk fighters. when things go wrong they dont deal with it as well......it's like they have a book on how to box properly, and wont veer from that approach no matter
There have still been plenty of upright british boxers over the years though, the fact is for every Haye we produce there was a Maccrinelli, for every Fury a Joshua, for every Calzaghe a Froch, and so forth...
Not that the upright fighters are not without their own strengths.

Not saying he’s a knockout puncher or knows how to place or set up. But he’s clearly very powerful, as was confirmed in that fight. Nigel Benn dispelled that in dramatic fashion.keirw wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 03:00UK fighters used to be considered upright and stiff by our friends over the pond, it is only in recent years that perception has shifted somewhat.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 17:31 tbf, i notice that east europeans in general seem to have a bit more rigidity in their approach and less adaptivness than usa/uk fighters. when things go wrong they dont deal with it as well......it's like they have a book on how to box properly, and wont veer from that approach no matter
