The many angles of boxing

This is a topic that I do find pretty interesting in boxing and it’s all about where you watch a fight.

I’ve obviously watched boxing on tv, been ringside, been up in the rafters, been at the front of the raised seating section but never at the back of the floor (never interested me) but I personally do believe you see a fight different from where you watch it.

Any instances of watching a fight in the arena to get back home watch it on TV and you see a completely different fight or differences of opinions between a friend who were ringside to who were watching on TV or at the back of the arena?

I remember one of the Clinton woods Gonzalez fights (Sheffield arena) I thought was close watching from the front of the raised seating but a work colleague of mine ringside said he dominated.

Any more instances?

It makes me wonder if the judges should be away from ringside, maybe 1 in the stand, 1 watching a monitor etc

I was @ Wembley for Froch vs Groves II.
The next day my dad said, "what a show ! Groves coming in on a London Bus- that musta been good"
Me: "what he did ?!"
I mean I got a bit wasted - I don't get out much - but I had no idea !
I'd recorded the PPV and watched it next day - quite how I missed I'll never know.

Mad, but not nearly as bad as those ringside actually had Eubank beating Watson in the first fight! I couldn't believe my ears!

Chris was terrible too - barely able to stand up straight from the weight-making (Ron said he passed out flat on the floor after the weigh-in). But Mike seemed totally overawed and intimidated by Eubank - opposite in second fight

Watson did bugger all but plod forward being punched. Unless you score jabs that don’t actually land.

I watched it. My dad vowed never to watch the sport again after it. I can remember it like it was yesterday "if they're giving out points for walking round a ring, not doing anything, and then ridiculously posing in between rounds, I'm out".
He never watched a fight again.....
