Who is the UK's best boxer right now?
Who's the best in the UK at the present time?
I've added a few young undefeated fighters to the list of options in the poll to give everyone a choice, although most people will likely choose one of the first three.

Fury and Taylor outrun everybody confidently.

I'd like to see Taylor vs Lopez next, or Taylor vs Crawford.

Taylor, fury and Aj are a clear top 3 that’s the order I have it but I’d accept any order of those three.
Below that I’d have billy joe and Callum smith last an any order 4 and 5.

Fury for me still. Taylor and Joshua are up there.
Re: Who is the UK's best boxer right now?
It was a toss up between Taylor and Fury for me. I picked Taylor based on becoming undisputed, but if Fury were to go on and beat Joshua I would move Fury to the front of the pack.
Re: Who is the UK's best boxer right now?
Fury is the biggest star
Taylor is the best talent
Taylor is the best talent
Re: Who is the UK's best boxer right now?
I don't think the talent is arguable. Fury is a good boxer, but by no means a master boxer. Being as big as he is, is a great deal of what allows him to control fights the way he does. That's why he done better against Wilder when he used his size and strength to overwhelm him as opposed to trying to outbox him.
When he starts thinking he's Pernell Whitaker or Willie Pep in there, he opens himself up to being beat a lot easier.
Re: Who is the UK's best boxer right now?
The poll only needs 2 options doesn't it ?
I'll pick Taylor as Ram and Prograis are probably both better than Klit and miles ahead of Wilder.

Josh Taylor, comfortably.
3 people have voted for Billy Joe Saunders!
One must presume that Billy Joe, his wife & one of his children were the 3 people.

Josh Taylor
Re: Who is the UK's best boxer right now?
Josh Taylor 100%, proven number 1 in a strong division.
Joshua and Fury are in the argument for best heavyweight of this generation, but that division isn't great really.
A few names who could come good over the next couple of years, like Buatsi and Parker but far too early to consider them any time soon.
Okolie can be very ugly to watch at times but is a real handful and will be very difficult to beat. I can see him having a very long run at the top of the Cruiserweight division, he might even unify if Briedis moves up.

Taylor became Britain’s first undisputed champion in the 4 belt era yet he is completely unknown in the U.K.
His unification fight with Ramirez wasn’t picked up by any U.K. TV channel... crazy

Proper technical boxers.
Joshua for his size is pretty damn good.
That Josh Taylor looks like Froch in some ways, mixes his game up very well, he's up there.

Re: Who is the UK's best boxer right now?
Josh Taylor is promoted by Top Rank.
Any British fighter that doesn't align themselves with Eddie Hearn or Fṛḁṅk Wḁṛṛḛṅ will struggle to gain exposure on UK shores.
Re: Who is the UK's best boxer right now?
Fury is signed to top rank (in the US) and Arum works with Warren in relation to Fury fights.
Even without those two linking up, and sky not being an option, its hard to believe that nobody picked up the fight in the U.K. aside from “Fite.TV”. When you have a British boxer unifying all the belts you’d think either
a) promotional differences would be put aside
or
b) a known tv channel would pick it up as it’s a megafight
or
c) a U.K. promoter would’ve had him on their roster for his run to do it
Fact of the matter is, whether Taylor is with Top Rank or not, he is completely unknown in the U.K. and that’s down to the exposure, hype and lack of airtime he’s (not) had.
Purist fans on this site place him as #1 P4P in the U.K., that should be a 60,000 people in a stadium fighter. As it stands if he was fighting in my Dads back garden the old fella would close the curtains .
