John Fury
John Fury
Just watched an interview with John on U tube ,,,, he's very scathing of the Wilder -- Tyson fight ,, says himself they could of got out of it last december ,, Thinks Tyson has too many people pissing in his ear , and its a set up by the yanks to rob his son , interestingly he alludes to Tyson starting to live the high life and is'nt so sure if Tyson is focused ,, usually i don't listen or watch his rants , but this one he speaks a lot of sence
Re: John Fury
Pretty much spot on. The whole thing stinks like a skunk in the crawl space.
Re: John Fury
Certainly does , Thing is it can't be about money , Its probably cost Fury around 60-70 MILLION , thats a huge amount , of which i'm sure Arum would be on a good percentage ,, Even Shelley you would think would say to Wilder ,, you and Fury ,, you get say 15 mill ,,, so lets barter for 10 mi-15 mill step aside and a cast iron contract we fight the winner within 6 months for 50-50
But no such thing put forward , just straight out scupper the fight ,,, This is not about money personaly , i think its more about putting Hearn in his place , and bringing that title back to the states ,, agree with John theres not gonna be a level playing field . ...

Yep John sounds sensible when he's not beating his own drum
Re: John Fury
It honestly smells like Fury v AJ was NOT as close to done as it appeared. Wilder not taking a buyout is a bit weird, but he has plenty of $$$. Maybe he truly just wants revenge.coneye wrote: ↑28 May 2021, 21:49Certainly does , Thing is it can't be about money , Its probably cost Fury around 60-70 MILLION , thats a huge amount , of which i'm sure Arum would be on a good percentage ,, Even Shelley you would think would say to Wilder ,, you and Fury ,, you get say 15 mill ,,, so lets barter for 10 mi-15 mill step aside and a cast iron contract we fight the winner within 6 months for 50-50

The swarm of the man has it.
Re: John Fury
It's quite obvious that Tyson Fury is believing his own hype; and for someone as grandiose, but mentally fragile as him, that's a clear recipe for disaster .. more so with a big punching guy he thinks he can again walk through.
I have stated my belief that when Tyson gets beat - and I predict it will be a very devastating KO defeat - he will very quickly unravel. For his mental health only retiring undefeated will allow him peace after boxing.

Tyson came out and confirmed the fight 24 hours before the arbitration result was announced so it mustn’t have been far away. Even Bob said it was close to being finalised.ironbeard wrote: ↑28 May 2021, 23:13It honestly smells like Fury v AJ was NOT as close to done as it appeared. Bob has to take the brunt of the criticism here for me. He’s an experienced lawyer but got this very badly wrong. He told anyone and everyone that the arbitration wasn’t an issue yet it was and now it’s come out (from a few people) that they had the option to cancel the Wilder deal and didn’t.
He’s cost his client $50m.

100% on Arum. Boxing’s really competitive in the US now with Triller, Showtime seemingly going for it a bit more now, PBC, Matchroom, Golden Boy and others so Bob needs to be careful not to piss people off.ironbeard wrote: ↑29 May 2021, 01:46100% on Arum. He’s ballsed up with Tyson, Crawford is being criminally managed/promoted - they were talking about Pacquaio and yet it’s Spence who gets that fight over the line, Lopez is having issues with him and Taylor wasn’t happy with everything last week (lack of main broadcaster in the U.K. and other things in the background).

Bob is 90. He shouldn't be even involved in top end decisions. Time waits for no man.

Tyson should be a super star in the states by now. He’s massive , white , huge personality and a good back story.

Tyson didn’t sell out the Excel (if we’re talking about Chisora 2) - the Saunders/Eubank Jr fight did. Tyson/Chisora may have been nominal main event but it sold well primarily because of people wanting to see whether Eubank Jr was as good as he said he was.mickey1975 wrote: ↑29 May 2021, 07:59The Excel. I assume you’re talking about the Haye fight? Haye had sold out big arenas several times before. It was a really good fight at the time but Haye would have been the A-side.
I don’t really think Tyson has ever sold really well on his own in the past. He did really well with a good dance partner (Klitschko - exc. the cancelled rematch, Haye, Wilder) but never when he’s been the A-side.
I think that’d be different now though - I’m not sure he’d do AJ levels but he’d sell 30-40,000 in a reasonable defence of his world title I reckon.

Re: John Fury
There’s something going on with Tyson mentally. He not focused. Wearing Versace clothes all the time, hanging out with celebs, going for Instagram likes. His body is a weird shape, fat hips and upper body doesn’t look strong. Doesn’t look great hitting pads or bag. The ‘Americans’ John is talking about must be Arum and his advisers. Tyson buying a house in Vehas I think.... his dad can’t travel to USA.
Possible meltdown coming up? I don’t know I don’t feel really good about it and Wilder will always be dangerous

It was mainly travellers and they weren't interested in how good jr was, they just wanted to see bjs beat him.maverick23 wrote: ↑29 May 2021, 08:16Tyson didn’t sell out the Excel (if we’re talking about Chisora 2) - the Saunders/Eubank Jr fight did. There were a lot of travellers there but it wasn’t mainly travellers. It was a fight that somehow crossed over a little bit - I had about 5/6 people asking at work about it. Each of them watched Eubank Snr back in the day and were talking about whether Jr would win or not.mickey1975 wrote: ↑29 May 2021, 08:55It was mainly travellers and they weren't interested in how good jr was, they just wanted to see bjs beat him.maverick23 wrote: ↑29 May 2021, 08:16Tyson didn’t sell out the Excel (if we’re talking about Chisora 2) - the Saunders/Eubank Jr fight did. It was also the last FW I went to. Made me swear to myself to not to go another one of his shows due to the toilet situation and stupidly late finish.

Papa Fury is either genuinely mad as hell about the last minute switch to drop AJ & fight wilder instead or is a very good actor bullshitting to deflect the blame onto " the hundreds of hanger oners ".
I am inclined towards the latter .
