- AJ: Gardner looks good for half a round, but Joshua's power is too much. Catches Chuck in round 1 and doesn't let him off the hook.

- David Haye. Haye is frustrated for 5 rounds but eventually zeroes in and gets his timing right. After 1 knockdown Chuck is stopped by the referee, as he complains the stoppage.
- John Westgarth. After a 10 round war including 5 knockdown, the referee has it as a draw. Nabbins are thrown in. Everyone asks for a rematch.

- Joe Bugner. One for the purists. Bugner's size and boxing ability take the unanimous decison.
- Danny Macalinden - Danny scores a knockdown in round 2, but Chuck's boxing ability keeps him out of trouble for the points win.

He beat Mike White who went on to beat Buster Douglas
Re: Prime Chuck Gardner vs Britain's best. How would he fare?
What about prime Gardner vs Chris Lovejoy?
That would be epic.
I mean a prime Chris Lovejoy, not the clearly injured Lovejoy who was robbed in Germany the other day.

Audley Harrison - Harrison infuriates the crowd and has them singing the hit record ‘Audley you’re a pudendum. Audley. Audley. You’re a pudendum.’ In the final round. Down on all the cards, Harrison turns orthodox and for the first time since his win over Michael Sprott at Ally Paly, detonates an enormous shot on Gardners chin rendering him unconscious.
Danny Williams - Williams spots a stall selling Mr Kipling cherry bake wells during his ring walk and ends up throwing the fight putting his now 30 year old children’s private education in jeopardy.

Mike McCallum - After both fighters are seen singing god save the queen as it plays before the fight. McCallum puts on a clinic before dedicating the win to his Nan in true Scouse fashion.

Re: Prime Chuck Gardner vs Britain's best. How would he fare?
The Cartel were determined to match Bruno with the hapless Gardner because in May 1982 at Wembley, Bruno was first set to face Gardner on a bill topped by Tony Sibson. It was Bruno's fourth paid outing but thankfully another American made the trip (Ronald Gibbs) and put up a real fight until he was caught and stopped in the fourth round. Gibbs was a hundred times better than Gardner.
Nevertheless, Bruno and Gardner did get together five years later in France and the result was a predictably easy knockout win for big Frank inside a minute. Sadly, it was a bad knockout. Gardner looked in trouble on the canvas - he was in trouble. Slowly, Chuck regained his senses and everyone breathed a sigh of relief but Mike Barrett decided to quit the Cartel afterwards, which left Duff, Lawless and Jarvis Astaire to share everything they made from boxing and everything they made from Bruno.
Frank had already had one crack at a world heavyweight title and would enjoy two more with the Cartel. That's where the big money lay. That's why Bruno fought someone like Chuck Gardner.
